Christ, is that why? I was so disappointed when he didn't run because a lot of my lefty commentators were talking about the idea. D: I remember him kicking ass during the FISA debacle. I sent him a letter of thanks. Russ is kind of my hero.
He's one of my Myspace friends :)
I am one of those blogger elitists who mocks MySpace and Facebook. But right now? I totally wanna sign up. :D

I want Maggie Thatcher and Churchill in the Foreign Office. Between them, they've got balls of steel so large I'm surprised they didn't need wheelbarrows to move them around.

Thatcher did more damage to this country's economy than any other PM. Churchill was a great wartime leader, but awful in peacetime.

not really Thatcher was to gutless to stand up to the Americans over Grenada, apparantly a runway her government was funding was a secret communist launchpad.

I vote for a re-animated Ronald Reagan..seriously.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't mind seeing Sarah Palin for Pres and maybe Mitt Romney as VP.
Palin Romney 2012! sounds like a good ticket to me.

seriously I wish for Reagan back from the dead, such a strong leader who can convert people to conservatism would be wonderful. Better than our liberal republican party

Why is everyone on the internet a flag-waving right-wing loon?

Still, I want the Republicans to win the next US Presidential Election for the following reason: I'm pretty sure that whoever wins the next election is going to be so associated with the American economy dying on its feet that their party won't be elected for ages afterwards. It happened with Hoover during the Depression era.

Anyway, if the Yank banks were in anything approaching decent shape, I'd want FDR for Pres and Obama for VP, with Obama becoming the presidential candidate after two terms of FDR in office alongside a resurrected John Smith, the famous Labour leader who died of cancer and allowed Tony Blair to become the leader of the party.

I really, really hope you're joking...
These be Internet people, Jeffers. They are notoriously weird of political ideology, to the point where they'd vote for a semi-deranged moose-munching SUV-queen Bible-basher and a dead retard over real politicians.
