I just started doing capoeira, it's as much a dance as it is a fighting style I guess, which suits me, since I have zero interesting in brawling, and I mainly got into it due to my interest in b-boying. There's actually quite a few similarities.

I really suck, but hey, it's fun.

I'm not sure if "grab idiot by the throat and crush the life from them then discarding their useless carcass" is a particular fighting style... But it's what I've always gone with. :B I did take a few classes in Karate but only got so far before I lost interest.

I take my hand, curl it into a fist and flail it wildly in the direction of my opponents face, hoping to inflict some form of damage.

Is it very obvious that I have never been in a fight?

My prefered style of fighting? Getting someone else to do it. I would say settling it peacefully, but if I get someone else to do it I can stay in bed.

I don't think not wanting to fight makes you a wuss. But then, that's just because I am also one of those people who don't want to fight :)

Besides, there are better ways to solve problems. Gaming tournaments, for one!

With words, I can hurt someone much more that way.
I haven't really gotten into a fight that wasn't a fight that was agreed apon and had rules.
Judging by that though I can guess a mixture of boxing and wrestling like maybe a few street fights have ended up like.

my .45 (WHOOHOO MICHIGAN GUN LAWS)

other than that? shotokan karate from a cop in his unfinished basement with bloodstains on the wall, signed and dated as badges of honor.
feels so manly.

Games: Beating something to death with a sword, as if it was a blunt object instead of a blade.

Movies: Martial arts.

Reality: Verbal abuse.

These threads always end up the same way. Macho kids who flex their muscles by saying how much arse they can kick or "I have a gun I don't need to fight lol" which misses the point entirely.

Having said that

*flex*

I haven't been in a fight since I was 13, and since then I've got a black belt in Taekwon do (which I mostly did for fun and the comps, but I got a fair bit of flexibility and good reaction time out of it, plus I can kick better than the average joe) and I'm currently going MMA, which is more tailored to the ring fights but thats only 2 steps away from self defense. I really enjoy the BJJ side of things so if it came to a street fight I would try to get them to the ground and see where it goes from there.

But I'm quite happy not fighting in the first place.

I'm a hockey fighter/berserker. I go for the nose, chin, and neck when I fight (and I don't mind jerseying people). But I don't fight often; the last time I fought was grade 6 or 7 so I'm probably quite rusty.

Just straight up learned it on the street fighting. Sometimes just having been in enough fights to know how it goes can win you most fights in the future.
