I find it hard to have pride in digital actions that mean nothing. So, I dunno. Hours and hours of Pokemon, I guess. I'm not proud or anything, I just enjoy it. Almost 200 hours in Y so far.
You've never had a jump up and cheer "I just did that!" moment ever? When you were a kid or now? Nothing?
Well, now that I've had more time to think about it, yeah a few. Any time I play Halo with my brother is guaranteed to get some laughs. Like forcing vehicles into areas they weren't meant to go. Fun stuff. Minecraft is another one, so many hours, quite a few maps just loaded with buildings and ideas. Hmm. I guess I do have some pride. Mostly in my multiplayer experiences.

- Beating Mega Man X on the SNES with only the Leg Boot Armor upgrade, no special weapons ever used.
- Beating Mega Man X6 on Xtreme Mode.
- Beating Mega Man X7 100%.
- Beating Super Metroid 100% in under 7 hours game time.
Mega Man X. Ah the memories I have of that series. I swear I could play through X5 blindfolded I played through it so many times. When I was a kid I remember beating the original with only the leg upgrade and of course the mandatory buster upgrade when Zero bites it. However I am not skilled enough to do it with no special weapons. That takes balls my friend. Well done.

My most recent awesome video game moment was with AI War.

My empire was expanding pretty well, I was keeping the enemy AI army under control with some well-timed fleet movements and had a good defensive system protecting my homeworld. Or so I thought.

Anyway I got very confident, and as soon as I scouted an enemy homeworld I got excited. All you need to do to win is blow up a paltry little command station on that planet and you win, and as I'd been carving up their planets en route with ease I figured it would be as simple as sending out my whole fleet and just letting the pathfinding do its job. So I sent out a hardened battle fleet in there with no strategy whatsoever besides 'blow up their thing'.

Next thing I know, my doomfleet was totally squashed in seconds and I had no ships left. In my hubris I pooled every ship I could, even my obsolete little border world guards, leaving absolutely nothing in between an angry AI fleet and my homeworld. Oh crap, I thought to myself. What happened next was a massacre, it was an exercise in laying down as many minefields as I possibly could before their fleets arrived to rape and pillage system after system. I built 'blocking units', small groups of cheap little ships basically meant to delay the enemy fleet while I finished those minefields. I felt like Stalin in Moscow, looking on grimly as the enemy destroyed everything I threw at them.

Thankfully I stopped them at my homeworld in time, having built mines on every square inch of space not occupied by my own home command station. At that point it became personal, I was not going to let billions of human lives be sacrificed in vain. I became far more careful then, employing guerilla tactics and never putting all my eggs in one basket. 20 hours of real time later, I glassed the AI's homeworlds and raised a glass to the brave souls who died in the last ditch defence of the human homeworld.

Let's see...

1. Getting my first 100% completion - It was in Rayman 3 for the GBA... I originally was playing the game off my cousin's copy before just buying my own... It was SO satifying finding that last Lum and, in the end, became more of a fan of Rayman than I was before...

2. Getting actually surprise about the "twist" in the GBA version of Chain of Memories - I didn't have the first game as a reference point in the story, and if I did I'm pretty sure the "twist" the GBA game would NOT have been as impacting to me as it was back then...

3. Being the first of my friends to fully 100% Symphonia - This includes taking care of two of the more "harder" in-game sidequests before any of my friends did... - Only one of those sidequests, though more "unpredictable" than the other in terms of overall setup, was nothing more than a push-over to me and I could not figure out what got my friends all work-up for not completing it...

4. The amount of games I have beaten alongside my mother in local co-op - The total is 7, so far...

5. Getting one of my friends hooked on Rayman Origins/Legends - As someone who only played platformers straight from Nintendo (with the exception of Sonic), I "broke" this particular friend's original policy on playing platformers in general...

That's the only 5 I can think of...

Mine are pretty much PvP related honestly... And mostly on Halo CE (Some are on Halo Reach).

I think one for Halo Reach was in one of my very first matches I was up on a railing while watching a teammate flip this enemy shade (I think. It's a newer Covernant vehicle similar to the Wraith but a bit more accurate, less deadly, and faster). Anyways. My teammate got killed and the two enemies were getting back into their vehicle... I gave them a bright blue ball as a gift and made sure the enemy never manage to get that vehicle again in that match.

One for Halo CE I loved a lot was a lucky hit. It was on "Blood Gultch" and this dude used de' portal to get out and he manage to run around a rock-structure (He was aiming to get into a cave, which is around said structure and in my aim) so I waited for him to come around and when I suddenly saw him, I shot once randomly and got a headshot... No scope or anything. Just shot.

Another moment I did liked a lot was zombies in Halo CE where I was LMS and dang... Got so many quad-kills+ in that match and lasted quite a bit.

1) Got the "Drop from cliff, kill elite" achievement in Halo Reach in only 10 tries. I was god damn proud.

2) Flying a plane in BF1942 and wrapping it around the only tree on the map. That was some good old fashioned "Proud to be alive" moment.

3) Getting a 100% game by pouring a bottle of whiskey down my throat, waiting 30 minutes and sitting down. I learned then that i get really good at games when i'm completely smashed.

I was playing Mortal Kombat 9. I wasn't doing too well, decided to join a King of the Hill match. From the matches I saw, the people I were about to fight were decent. Then it was my turn to fight the King, and this happened:

You better believe I was proud of myself.

On Dark Souls i got all the way to the Capra Deamon without dying once.... and then proceeded to die 50 times or so because the Capra Deamon is a dick like that.

Also when i was younger i beat Halo CE on legendary by myself, and yh i know lots of people had done it, but when i finally did it (and none of my friends had) i was so happy.

I've been modding Skyrim to hell and back, and one of my favorite mods was Dragon Combat Overhaul. It alters the AI of dragons to make them smarter and tougher.

Anyway, I was headed up to Northwind Summit to learn the shout from the word wall up there, when I was (unsuprisingly) attacked by the dragon guarding it. It was a standard dragon, not to difficult to fight. Except this one was different. It took me a good six attempts to beat it.

First Attempt - The dragon caught me by surprise, landed on me, and sent me tumbling down the mountain. Game over.

Second Attempt - I got it down to half health, but didn't realize I ran out of health potions. He eventually outlasted me and roasted me to oblivion. Game over.

Third Attempt - I'm frustrated and impatient at this point, so I charge in head on. Bad move. The dragon used its triple threat tail attack to ragdoll me to the ground. It spewed fire at me at close range, and since I forgot you could use potions while ragdolled, I died. Game over.

Fourth Attempt - I finally lower the difficulty to Novice out of sheer spite for this scaly beast, but that didn't do much. One triple threat tail attack and I'm sent ragdolling over the edge of the mountain to my death. Game over.

Fifth Attempt - I'm fuming, and I'm starting to have thoughts of uninstalling DCO just to have a chance at this beast. I got it down to half health again, but I ran out of health potions...again. He outlasts me and kills me yet again. Game over.

Sixth Attempt - After a quick break to calm my nerves, I got back into the game, ready to finally kill this thing. Somehow I did. Through sheer luck and brilliant tactics involving a bow and arrow, Dragonrend, and escape tactics, I finally bring the dragon down. I'm rewarded with the Alduin death animation.

I was so proud of myself, I decided to take a screenshot of me finally killing it.
So let me see if I have this all together: In an attempt to make the dragons more of a challenge you installed a mod to make the AI smarter and a bit tougher. Then, even though that's exactly what you wanted, you freak out and lower the difficulty to Very easy. So really, you're proud that you wussed out.

Well there's beating Final Fantasy IX.

I fell in love with this game as I was playing it. So when I reached the final boss, I got frustrated by how hard of a time I had with himanastasia the time and was determined to take him down. A few attempts and party changes later, I was able to beat him. When I did I was cheering and shouting vulgar words at the boss as he died.

And then the ending. My god, the ending to me was just perfect. I was smiling like an idiot when

Zidane revealed himself to Dagger. She then ran down to embrace him, and the entire audience, including all the party members (minus Vivi sadly) cheered.

To top it all off, there was an absolutely beautiful song during the credits. Along with a rendition of the FF theme played in a lot of the games.

Gave me quite a bit of time to reflect on the wonderful journey I've partaken via FFIX.

I also get this feeling nearly everytime I play through Shadow of the Colossus. I've played through the game at least ten times, and I still enjoy nearly every minute of it. To me, it's just that great of a game.
