Kind of a strange story, but about five years ago I made my first online account, and I asked my little sister for a suggestion of a username, due to her creativity. She came up with MEEBO, the most random sounding word ever so, I took it (adding my favorite number, 17). I use MEEBO17 or Brett17 for just about every website now.

Dunno.

Just thought of it.

Although I go by Grim Victor on literally everything else now.

So yeah.
I gotta say, your avatar really goes with your name. And both made me smile.

From that day forward, our group always called us "The Gnomes." That was nearly 8 years ago and the name stuck. Our friends still call us the gnomes and our house, no matter where we live, has been dubbed "The Burrow."
That is insanely cool.

When I was young I added 'u' to 'now.'

Makes a pretty sweet name though.

Mine is a mixture of two words.
- Utopia - the perfect world
- Opaline - the colour of an opal
I came up with it about 10 years ago and it kinda stuck.
It means an ever changing perfect world...an Opal changes colour depending on how you look at it and the perfect world is different for everyone depending on how you look at it. What is perfect for me, is not what is perfect for you.
Hence utopaline

Eh, Keirsey labeled me as an INTJ type, with the "NT" group's primary objective being "knowledge seeking", thus being identifiable with the Greek "Prometheus" figure.
I just changed "theus" to "thea", being that I am not entirely comfortable with the idea of implying that my liver is plucked out by a giant eagle every day. Also, I am a girl.
I actually haven't read the comic series... :I

One of my friends is bloody good at drawing, and she once drew up a picture of a really very strange rabbit, who she called bobbity. I guess the name grew on me :p

I think my first pick was already taken so I went with the onomatopoeia a baloon makes when you let the air out.

Used to be a nickname when I was in the military. Put it into a google search. I didn't think it was a legit name for anything.....

It's my avatar if you're too lazy :)

Freakout was a cheat code for the original spiderman the movie game which let you play as "matrix spidey". 4:56 was the time it was when I first made up the name.

I honestly don't remember. At all. I think we started having a shouting war over Vent one day while playing SC2 and someone screamed something close to my username... and that's how it came to be!

I think.

It's my childhood nickname :3

My Papa Bear gave it to me & I've been using it, or some variation, for my whole internet life. And a lot of my family still calls me Maylo IRL ahaha...

"Necromancer" came from the sudden flow of Necromancy-related things that have been thrown at me lately and a fascination with the undead. "Jim" came from the least threatening name I could imagine.

My first name starts with a "K" and TheKman was taken. Also Unforgotten Realms was still on the Escapist at the time so I stole "ofawesomton" from that.

It was a long time ago, when I was a little kid, and I really liked legos. I went on the website and created an account so I could do a bunch of fun little extra things. I simply put my initials (DF) and then "skelly", as my avatar was a skeleton in a tuxedo and top hat. That name ended up being my Xbox Live name, but too many people called me "Dfs-Kelly", which gets annoying. Some people just call me "DFS" which I like a lot better. However, to prevent this mistake from happening again, I now use "Dfskelleton". Initially I thought I had spelled skeleton right, but even now that I know it only has one L, I still spell it that way. I don't know, It makes it sound sexy.
