Just a few weeks ago I managed to find a copy of Silent Hill 2 for the Xbox for only ten dollars. This is a game I've been trying to track down off and on for nearly three years and most of the copies I have found were ether for the PS2 (Which I don't have) or about a hundred dollars, or both. It even had the original case and manual.

I'd call that pretty rare.

Also Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the Xbox. Suprisingly good brawler for being a licensed title.

Hype: The Time Quest. It seems like I'm the only one in the world that's played that game. ._.

Hell if I know. Most of my PC games are still in the old CD cases, rather than the DVD cases that are now the norm.

Maybe the original Dark Forces? Duke Nukem? Wolfenstein 3D? Hexen?

Not sure how rare it is but it certainly wasnt mainstream when it came out, and is regarded as the first true RTS, Herzog Zwei on the megadrive. Still got it at home lost the manual tho :( do have all my passcodes for all the beaten levels to make up for it.

I have Street Fighter I and II for the Genesis, and Advent Rising for the Xbox, which used to not be so rare, but now I can't find it anywhere, and I am not willing to lend my copy out.
I never knew Street Fighter was released on that format. Was it one of those Brazil only releases, like Duke Nukem 3D?

Tatics Ogre for the PS1. 70+ dollars for a copy on Ebay. Paid $15 from a friend.
Story goes
My best friend sold the game to another one of my friends for 10 dollars. He had purchased it for 5.
I bought it off of that guy for 15. Haven't let it out of my sights since then.
I'm guessing a $20 offer isn't going to convince you to let it out of your sight? :D

What is the most rare and scarce game you own/have played?
For me its Manhunt 2, not really a big deal but it is banned here in Australia
Wild Arms 1, and System shock II. Also, Jad Cocoon.

FFI on NES mint condition with the box and all the inserts, Secret of Mana on SNES, and FFVII for PS1 - there is some sort of misprint on the back of the case that supposedly makes it rare. Not sure if that's true though.
I used to have Diablo for PS1, which the guy at GameStop told me is rare. I'm inclined to believe him because it was a $50 trade-in value.
Diablo on the PSone was crap. But it is rare, I've seen it sell for $500 on eBay before. Crazy, and it was like 88$ the ONLY time I saw it at an EB more than ten years ago.
=edit= also, Orphen: Scion of sorcery on the PS2. I sold that game ages ago, and missed it so much, I recently bought it off eBay again. yay, me!
