Pretty good. I'm the middle child between a younger sister and an older brother, and when we were kids things weren't so nice. My brother would pick on me and my sister, my sister would whine and tell on me and my brother, and I would annoy them both. But after my brother went to college and we didn't see each other so much, things really softened. My sister and I were practically at war still, but we both became much friendlier with my brother. Same thing happened after I went to college and later joined the Navy. Now when we see each other we're very sincerely friendly. I guess being apart allowed us to appreciate the things we love about each other rather than focus on the petty differences we have, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
EDIT: Oh, and my brother is 2.5 years older than me, and I'm 1.5 years older than my sister.
