Let's see....
First one: Captain Kamenev Drang, mercenary Gland-Warrior, shock-trooper lunatic former veteran Guardsman. Came with obligatory black greatcoat, severe psychosis, chem-implants, wielding a flanged shock mace, a bolt pistol slightly older than the Imperium itself and of uncertain parentage, occasionally a heavy stubber or a heavy flamer if he could nick it, and then found a Daemon weapon, became symbiotically possessed and got a massive, several-thousand word fan fiction written about him and his Mercenary regiment. Did a series of cameos in Mobius's Star Wars.
Second One: Torquemada Pfeil. Never got off the ground, due to Mobius's excellent RP dying off before it started.
Third one: Some Guardsman called 'Raven', Death Korps of Krieg. Went MIA during a mission, was later found to have disabled an enemy sentinel but been killed by the munitions detonation.
Fourth one: Landsknecht-Captain Torquemada Lucan: Insane aerial cavalry commander, leading a misfit company of aerial cavalry on a campaign to murderise a lot of Orks, support fellow Guard regiments and so on.
Fifth: Lieutenant Monfort Drake: Lunatic Drookian Fen Guard captain, leading a team of commandos by the name of 'Delta Team' (Or basically, a kill-team).
Sixth: Montfort Wellesley: Retired Royal Marine Lieutenant (Well forcibly retired), part of a cyberpunk game between me and my girlfriend. Fun character.

Never tried a RP game on a forum, and the tabletop rpg that me and my friends play, I DM, so little role-playing for me (I have to DM, I made the game :/)
Kinda annoys me, as I make up a "Character" for every "Universe" I see- Halo, Warhammer (Fantasy and 40k), Lord of the Rings, KOTOR, Fallout, even a few I made up myself. Hopefully I can teach one of my friends enough of the rules for them to DM, or persuade one to get an actual table top RPG. Until then, I'll have to stick with controlling a player-like NPC every now and then, but it's not as fun when you know what's going to happen (My friends are predictable-I can make dozens of ways of completing a scenario, and I'll always, 99% of the time, know what they'll pick)

Well I generally dont RP on forums anymore, I tend to RP only with my one good friend through IM's and what not. Anyway some of them are as follows..
Niracas "Nira" Razely- A pretty good guy, tends to stick his neck out alot for others. He tends to be loyal to his friends and all that stuff. You know typical good guy attitude. Uses a spear as his main weapon.
Janx Jelantru- - An unskilled fighter, who takes an "Its not my problem" approach to things. Trys to avoid confrontation most of the time due to his lack of fighting skills. Not a coward, but knows how to pick his battles. Uses dual swords as a weapon.
Arkadi- Young kid that usually keeps to himself, angers easily, and uses a large sword as his main weapon.
I know they arent the best, and the descriptions are pretty meh, they usually change depending on the RP im doing. You can just call those examples.

well, back when morrowind first came out my character was William Wallace, emancipator of slaves and wielder of 2-hand swords.

Generally, I make a new character for each RP I'm involved in. Exceptions when two separate RPs take place in the same campaign or universe.
At the moment, I'm trying to write the backstory to a Half Elf rogue/ranger I will be playing as a scout in a Pathfinder campaign. I have the basic details (I pretty much used the Central Casting character background creation system for that), I just need to actually link the fuckers together...

Sadly, I don't think I'm that good at RPs. The whole character interaction thing just...isn't quite there for me, and I seem to stick to one general kind of character. But hey! The fight scenes were fun to write!

Well, I can RP anything from paladin dwarves to crazy halfling barbarian... But I have 2 characters I love RPing.
Vexor Nidendur, undead human wizard/fighter/rogue with metal hands and a lot of Strength, stealthing and using magic to boost himself in combat, then swing his powerful two-handed sword from the shadows. Also using shadow magic and illusions.
Elan Rowe, dim-witted and gullible but kind and brave human bard, always happy to sing a song to help his allies in another epic adventure. Oh, and he always uses a morning star and a crossbow.
Both true neutral, but Vexor has maniac tendencies (like using a Hellball to clear a forest out of bandits... along with the forest itself) and DMs don't enjoy his stunts. Also because he's insane.
