My Oblivion character had 100% Reflect Damage and 100% Resist Magic. Only arrows and falling can hurt him, and he can survive a tumble off Dive Rock. He also uses Chain Spells with both Destruction and Restoration. Chain Heal restores 100hp/second forever until he stops casting.

My Skyrim character uses a bow on occasion, but not much. Fus Ro Dah Oblivion guy off a cliff, but aforementioned Chain Healing can outlast anything.

Oblivion guy wins.

My Oblivion character was level 35 with level 100 heavy armour, 100 blade, and was armed with umbra and wore full daedric. My Skyrim character would not stand a chance. Sorry Ureth :(

a stealth archer with near max stealth and archery versus another stealth archer with near max stealth and archery...

guess the victor is the one who sees the other one first...

Oblivion Char has 100 alteration, restoration and protect enchants on every piece of daedric armour.

Being as I have yet to find a means to do the same to my Skyrim toon, I think my Oblivion toon has the upper hand.

oblivion character has 103 stealth 104 lock picking 100 in blade and is a master of light armor, with a permanent 30 chameleon to boot. Skyrim character has 70 stealth 45 one handed and 30 lock picking, he also dual wields daggers, with X30 critical hits. It's a tough decision, fellow escapists, who do you think would win.

Invisible Pink Unicorn vs Invisible Pink Unicorn, I think they're about the same. Why no, I have never played Oblivion or Skyrim, why do you happen to ask?

Seeing as my character in Oblivion had 100% Chameleon not very well, but other than that they are both Breton Mages,
So it would come down to who had the biggest sword. Probably my Skyrim character.

Oblivion-Stealth, Blades, Archery, Destruction.

Skyrim-Destruction, Conjuration, One-Handed.

Hmm...In all likelyhood my Dunmer assassin would be able to stealth his way up on my Nord mage and slit his throat. Mostly because my assassin also had Umbra, which could easily OHKO my mage, Dragon Shouts and Fireballs be damned. Also I believe I had a talisman or necklace or w/e of lesser chameleon or whatever it was called.

100% chameleon armor trumps all...oblivion was so broken
Truer words have never been spoken.

OP: My oblivion character could kill a Xivilai in one hit with an iron sword because his strength was around 200 due to heavily enchanted armor and a spell. My skyrim character couldn't stand a chance because he isn't a level 100 demi-god.

In Oblivion, I was pretty much a warrior wielding a massive two-handed weapon in heavy armor.

In Skyrim, I've gone a more defensive path. Using heavy armor(again) and a shield and one-handed weapon. But, I've also mastered conjuration magic, for the weapons early on, and destruction, for the cloak spells.

I guess my shouts would throw off my oblivion character use the life detect one and then frost breath to freeze him and then go to shit on him with 2 pimped out daedric short swords both with full fire and frost enchantments while using 100% fire deflect armour through enchantment since my oblivion character used fire spells
so its a god verses a dragon god killer and a dova in all but body
I think my skyrim character would win hands down

My Skyrim character IS my oblivion character.
But if we include morrowind, Ragin' Raptor would win, Crow wouldn't have the range advantage of the spear. Spears are awesome. Like crossbows. I wish skyrim had crossbows....

My oblivion character was a mage with a spell that does 100 damage lightning, 100 damage fire, and 100 damage ice, with weakness to all three in the same spell. Also he is the Daedric prince of madness with an army of golden saints and dark seducers.

my Skyrim character is a plate wearing (upgraded daedric) dual wielding (daedric Swords)powerhouse, so probably my oblivion character.

but then again... i have to play on master difficulty in skyrim to have any enemy even land a hit on me, so maybe my skyrim character

I think my Oblivion character would probably kill my Skyrim character, because my Oblivion character was an extremely fast-moving, fire-slinging mage who didn't even need to wear armor. That said my Morrowind character would probably be dominated by my Skyrim character because he was just a thief and had very little combat skill.

He lost his headband, got scratched, lost his pants, found an amulet, changed his fur pattern, and got fat.

All this in 200 years and a short trip to the north... Other than that it's the same basic character though.

I'd say, since it's really almost the same person, the 200+ year old one would win thanks to his ability to yell at people.

They're basically the same (argonian archer with one handed and any cool looking spells I find) except I can no longer outrun horses or Superman up buildings because they took out Athletics and Acrobatics.

Damn shame, but it's better than the fuck up leveling system Oblivion had.

The only difference is my race, actually.
In Oblivion my favorite character was a male Redguard with heavy armor, one handed weapons and a shield. This time around I decided to go with a Nord instead since I felt it would be more fitting to the game. Morrowind was pretty much the same, I think. Been too many years since I played it.
For my second playthrough I will, for the first time in an Elder Scrolls game, attempt a pure mage! :>

Theyre almost the same except that my oblivion and morrowind characters could jump 20 foot in the air :) although my Skyrim character can sneak attack for 30x damage, depends on the situation I suppose.
