I wouldn't be too bothered by this except for the fact that there's a good chance that more than half of the games I own I've never actually played...

EDIT: The funny thing is, I've only spent less than $500 on games, meaning that I've saved around $1,000. Also, I was generously gifted a few games, a few examples being Half-Life 2, Bioshock 1 & 2, Magicka, and Zombie Driver.

Don't know how it works but it's wrong, I have actually only played 2 of the 14 games it says I have and of those two I got portal free (from steam) and dawn of war, which I never got through steam.

If the site keeps saying you have 0 dollars and joined in the 1970s, use a custom URL. Start steam and go community -> profile -> Edit my profile -> Custom URL (it's just above where you pick your avatar.) Put in random characters, then copy those random characters into the steam calculator.
