Waaaaay too many to list. I haven't played them on the basis that I don't have a proper gaming PC at the moment, which I am currently investing in.

ugh.

I actually had to make an Excel document with all my Steam and GOG games to make some sense out of my backlog. I have 115 steam games and 28 GOG games. Out of all those, I've only ever finished 25 on Steam and 1 on GOG.

The thing is that I often get this inexplicable urge to play a very specific game or a sort of game. So I thought that if I get a decent library of games to keep these urges satisfied, I will always have something to play no matter what kind of game I'm in the mood for. So far it's working out well. I often reach into my backlog and play a game I haven't finished just because I feel like it at the moment and I love the fact that I almost always have that option.

My buying strategy therefore revolves around sales. I bought almost all the humble bundles that came out up until now and I often get pack deals so I have some games I never really wanted wanted in the first lace just because some really good ones were packed in with them. And when there's a game I know I'm going to like on sale for a good price (to classify as "a good price" it usually needs to be less than 5 eur), I buy it, even if it ends up in the backlog for a while until I'm in the mood to play it.

I made a start on Telltale's The Walking Dead so I need to finish that first. I just got Persona 4 done so I've got more time now.

I tend to finish games that I start before I start a new one, otherwise I'd end up with four or five ongoing 70+ hour games. I still have at least 4 of those to do.

Thanks to the Humble Bundles, and just various Steam sales, I've got quite a bit of a backlog. While I do think I'll play most of these at some point, I honestly just don't know if I'll ever touch some of them.

I don't have as much time to play as I used to. After having kids I limit the xbox time and only play the violent ones after they're in bed. It took me about 2 years to finally finish Red Dead Redemption - Granted, I did get Halo: Reach and a few other games in there I played to completion. Mostly I'm on my PC these days and bring it on the ship with me.

I've been meaning to reinstall New Vegas. I had to reinstall Steam, and it deleted all of my mods. Gotta have my mods. So I haven't even gone back in to sort it out and try to make my save games work correctly. I must have spent 3-4 hours one night just configuring mods and troubleshooting crashes in frustration before finally having it work perfectly; so going through that again I'm really not looking forward to.

Sidenote, have you ever had a really bad game you recently played that you had to force yourself to finish? That sounds grueling!
Ninja Gaiden 2. I borrowed it from a friend but just wanted to finish it. I just wanted that damn game to end! I don't know why I couldn't stop playing it. I wasn't even enjoying it anymore. I went through a similar thing with Crysis 2, just playing it to completion.

I've got some games from the last winter sale I still haven't played yet. I have some games in my Steam list that I bought because the deal was too good to pass up but I can't play yet because my PC is too shit to run them but that's only a couple, for the most part there are games that I just haven't played. I decided this year to just buy a bunch of games during the winter sale and be set until the next winter sale to see if I could do it.

I haven't played at all yet:
Half-Life 2 episodes
Metro 2033
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Crusader Kings II

Huh, I thought that list would be longer.

I've messed around with but didn't finish:
The Penny Acrade games
Hotline Miami
Torchlight II
Ttian Quest Gold
FarCry
Hitman Blood Money
Solar 2
Super Meat Boy
....most of the rest of my Steam List, plus I have a bunch of games like Dungeons of Dredmor and Civilization IV that you don't just finish and cast aside for something else really, they're games you can keep coming back to over and over so I've got games to last quite a while.

My backlog continues to grow because there's always something new I wish to play more. Even more frustrating are the games I REALLY LIKE that I'm probably never going to get back to again, let alone beat. Just always seems to be something newer to try.

If, by some twist of fate, I do have to enter into the realm of the backlog... it would really depend on what I'm in the mood for at the time. I've got hundreds of choices though so it wouldn't surprise me if it took me so long to narrow down the choice that something else new came along anyways.

Or I'd go with whatever new 'pushed to the backlog' game my fiance bought me just so she'd see me playing it.

I cared about backlog once, but when you're a committed gamer at some point you have to let go. There are more games than you can ever finish, and you will probably buy way more than you have the time for, on the plus side you have the library of choice there for you when you want it and you're supporting the developers you like.

Currently my backlog in in 3 digits. If I live a full life I've no doubt it will be 4 digits before I die.

I currently have a backlog of 32 games largely leftover from the steam Christmas sale and 4 I haven't finished. Due the the lack of space left on my computer at the moment I'm generally choosing games based on whether saved games are uploaded to the steam cloud as that game will probably be removed to make way for another.

They're videogames; if it makes you feel better, tell the internet you've conquered your backlog, they'll never know the difference.
But you will know... and your games will always be there, staring at you... judging you... mocking you... knowing they beat you...
No, no, no, I sorry, I'm so sorry but I just can't finish you, backlog. I know I've let you down, but I need to live my life. You don't own me, backlog, you DO NOT OWN ME!

You there, shrekfan246! Here, take this backlog away from me... I'll pay you! Here have my Steam password, just take care of my child backlog. Get it away from me, please!

Hmm I got into the Elder Scrolls games with Skyrim so I have Oblivion and it's assorted DLC. Stalker, Working on Wargame European Escalation when I feel in the mood. Empire Total War, Napoleon Total War, C&C Tiberian Twilight( just can't get into it no matter how many times I try to play), Far Cry 2, WH40k Space Marine and Overlord 1 and 2. I have been replaying Borderlands 2 on Vault Hunter mode so once I finish that I will start on Oblivion I think.

Most people I know never intend on "finishing" Skyrim.

Anyways, I have a huge backlog of games I was really interested in (or that my friend wouldn't shut up about) that I now have little to no interest in even touching. I don't even remember what they all are.

Most notable one is XCOM because I was right about to delve into the final dungeon and just decided I'd had enough.
