A few people on here are bound to be in bands or perform in front of people at some point, so it's fair to assume that they also have some stories (good or bad) about their experiences.

I'll start with one:

I was halfway through a Hendrix song (Purple Haze) when my pedalboard's power supply screwed up, meaning all my pedals were useless, and my guitar no longer made any noise!

I forgot the opening notes to Dowland's Fantasia, and kind of just improvised for a bit until I remembered them...that was interesting.

I'm in my high school's jazz/cover band, and we were peforming in front of my school when my music blew away. I still kicked ass....:)

Many, many PA problems. I hate PA systems.

Anyway, I jumped off a stack and buggered my ankle (not broken, that would have made for a better story), so I played the rest of the gig sitting on the edge of the stage and feeling like a bit of a tit.

I was in an awful pop-punk band when I was 17. We played a gig supporting a Welsh Metalcore band and we got more people (friends/family) to turn up than the headliners did, even though the only songs we played successfully were blink-182 covers and we completely fucked up all our own songs
