On my first (second?) day of uni, two older people (for university, so probably late 20s early 30s) come up to me, in a crowded place (for which my adrenal glands are very thankful) and go "Hey, you a first year?" (They also had that crazy-hobo look)
"Yeah"
"What course you doing?"
"*my course*"
"Oh, my friend here is a third year *course*"
"Cool"
"So, where having a Bible study group-"
"No thanks. But thanks anyway"
Then I walked away as slow as I could make my freaking-out legs go.
It sounds less creepy in text, but the way they looked, and the way they just picked me out of the crowd and started talking to me ... it freaked me out, in a kind of "There really isn't a bible group, mwhahahahaha *various nonconsentual horrors*" kind of way.

Im usually the one making people feel uncomfortable.
I like riding in elevators... facing the group of people back to the doors. Have you ever noticed how people really just don't want to anything with people in elevators? Anyways, that's always good fun.
I've done this while I was out with friends (mainly to embarass them). My brother got his tradie and a couple other apprentices to do this because he wanted to show them the group mentality by pranking a new apprentice with it. Basically, they all faced the back when they got in, and when the new guy walked in, he looked around, then faced the back as well.
