For some reason on MW2 I keep randomly knifing, it's not like I'm clicking the button down but I keep doing it and *RAGES* it annoys me to say the least.

In shooters, I have a tendency to seek cover and eliminate enemies from a distance, rather than resorting to run-and-gun tactics. This tendency is what made me die so many times in Call of Duty 4. It's also why I don't like the game.
Ah, you're just playing the wrong type of shooter then. I have the same problem in the run'n'gun shooters.

Trying rocket jumps in modern FPS games, always ends with disappointment.
Forgetting that I have to reload my guns this days.
Stubborn refusal to accept the fact that my accuracy deteriorates dramatically when I try to shoot while running and jumping around.

I know this is not a habit as such.. but it sure pisses me off.

Whenever i KNOW an enemy is round the corner i spend agesss aiming at the spot where he should come round the corner.. then i go to throw a flash, as soon as the grenade is in my hand and im aiming up... the wanker comes round the corner..

What stupid habits can you never seem to break out of?

Personally I have three, all multiplayer related:

1. I get too eager to get to the action and run around corners, usually straight into a ninja with a P90 or a sniper bullet to the head.

3. RevengeRAGE-rushing on campers. Instant double-humiliation.
Both of these in shooters at least.

I've been playing a lot of NES ans SNES games games lately though (platformers mostly) and I always either:

1. Fuck up my timing on jumps.

2 hesitate to attack or jump for some reason. Modern games have made my reactions slow and stupid.

3. Try to speed run.

Hmm, well.

1. Putting form above function: I will generally try to keep my RPG characters to a certain formula, even if it ends up screwing me in the end.

2. Forgetting to dodgeroll or dodgerolling at the wrong time: Yeah, that kinda goes for every game in which you can dodgeroll.

3. Getting a bit overconfident: Generally leads to my demise in any platformer, I'll tend to get a bit too tricky for my own good.

4. Bloodthirsty: Mostly my downfall in multiplayer games. I like to be in the first big epic clash as the two teams get thrust out of their spawn points and meet up in the middle. I'll completely ignore the more powerful weapons I COULD get just to be the first person to the battle, and usualy the first person to die.

5. Form over function again, but with trickiness: I'll try to get all tricky alot. Think taunt kills in TF2, or rocket jumping across the level to smack one guy in the face with a shovel on the way down. It almost always get's me killed. But the few times my trickiness works it's GLORIOUS.
