Anytime in any FPS ever that I try to throw a grenade, only to hit a wall, have it bounce right back to me feet, and die. Very awkward online in BF3.

Also, When I can't solve a puzzle in a game, only to have a friend do it in about 5 minutes.

This is actually why I can see why no one uses the frag grenade in CoD games.
And why I refuse to use the molotov most of the time in Left 4 Dead.

I actually tried throwing a molotv at a smoker once in Hard Rain since I couldn't pull out my gun.
It bounced off the damn roof, back down to me and I managed to burn myself to death while being strangled and incapped, if not severely crippled, the rest of the bots. Cue immediate rage quit.

oh and of course, seeing how I was playing offline, the bots were too fucking stupid to shoot the damn thing.

This is why I actually stopped playing by myself for a while.

My first time with oblivion. It was me and my friend on his xbox (because my was broken when I got it) we had no idea what was what and ignored the tutorial.

It ended up with us running away from a BANDIT because we were dying and spiriting all the way to cheydinhal and sleeping in the streets.

I was playing Dark Messiah of Might and Magic the other day, and I was looking for a way out of a crypt. I looked pretty much everywhere, jumped onto some really hard to reach platforms, swam to the bottom of a small pond looking for a tunnel or something, but didn't find anything. After about twenty minutes of swearing and wondering how to get out, I finally notice the lever next to a locked gate. I pull it, the gate opens, and I leave the chamber, not saying a word.

The only time that I can think of was when I was playing the Shivering Isles DLC for Oblivion and was trying to kill Syl to become ruler of Dementia. I got stuck in this one room because I couldn't find the button to open the door because I was going around the room in a way so that I wouldn't see the button no matter how many times I passed it. I had to look on YouTube to find out where it was.

I know I have more stupid moments than that, but that's the only one I can really think of.

Actually, now that I think about it, I didn't know that you could change the difficulty in Oblivion until my little brother told. I had been having trouble with the arena fight against three Argonians even though I remembered my brother going through all of the arena fights with ease. It was definitely a face palm worthy moment.

Well just recently I was trying to load up ME3 and when is said checking downloadable content that circle thing that says loading would stop. Which would cause me to think the the game froze to which I would respond by turning the stupid thing off and on about 35 times only to realize the loading circle thing was supposed to stop like that.

When I started playing Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown as my first fighting game just about ever, I was killed by the same move for all 3 rounds. That is why I will always despise Lion.

I was playing Dues Ex: Invisible war and I opened a door and tried to get into this vent but I couldn't open the grate. Spent 10 trying to use explosives, fists, and all guns I had trying to get through just to realise you could right click to open it.

I wager afew other people have done this before, but one time in Skyrim I was fighting someone on a high part of a mountainside, I used the Shout button trying to unleash Unrelenting Force at my foe, but I forgot I left Whirlwind Sprint equipped and I ended up falling off the mountain Wile E. Coyote style.

Most recent examples where with penumbra: black plague. I spent ages running around in circles trying to avoid a zombie only to realise I could trap it in a room. I didn?t even realise the room had a door. I didn?t see the switch for it.

At another part of the game a bride collapsed behind me. I spent at least 20 minutes trying to build a bridge before noticing there was a ledge.

Although the stupidest thing I?ve done in a game is probably vanguard charging out of the protective bubble during the suicide mission on ME2. *head desk*

I accidentally cast Haste on a boss in Final Fantasy X. As we know, the character selection can be a bit wonky. Whoops

i was underground in Half Life 2, this was right after getting the Gravity Gun when i came across a ladder with a cage around its base. ingeniously i immedialy thought that this was a puzzle involving the Gravity gun. so i began to form a set of stair made up of shelves and crates i found around the room, this took me 20 minutes to do as it was very hard to place them all precisely, but eventually i was able to get above the cage blocking the ladder off and all seemed fine...until i realized the nice, huge lock attached to the cage, which, if shot, would break and allow me to move the cage out of my way

yeah...i tend to over think things

Just remembered another one thanks to the lazy achievements thread. In Portal 2 I was trying to get the achievement where you refuse to do one of Wheatly's tests and thought that the test you had do it on was the one where he's trying to get the turret cubes to go one the button. I sat there for a fucking hour waiting something to happen. I felt like a complete idiot when I found out which test I actually needed to do that on.
