That one isn't the only song either, there's a whole series of songs by the same company with cutesy teenage girls singing about innocuous things like doing homework and how much they love the weekend.
And yes, they are ALL as bad as the Rebecca Black one.
Makes my skin crawl.

But what annoys me the most, is that the girl herself is an okay singer, yet the amount of Autotune is ridiculous so that she sounds like she is just being the worst singer in the world.
This. Simply by watching this video you can see that the girl herself is actually pretty good. She is either going to be ruined because the song is horrifically bad or she is going to be the next sensation because when you get past the autotune she isn't bad. She's Disney Channel material, she has a demographic to target, if they can cut the autotune and just get her to sing then she'll be popular and will be the next big thing; if, that is.

Here's the video I referenced earlier

EDIT: That freeze frame is... indescribably unlucky.

How you doing?

OT: I made a thread about how she's been hurt by this kinda internet bullying. Its weird to think that she was right. I mean, if you dont like, thats fine, but there's a line to be crossed.

Besides, maybe it bothers YOUR standards, but if someone likes it, then its music. Music is alot like art in that regard.

I've watched it three times, and can honestly say that it is the worst "song" I've ever heard. Her voice is crap, the lyrics are stupid, and the beat is painfully average. I mean, I dislike Justin Beiber, but at least the Beeb has a decent singing voice; this Rebecca Black has nothing of the sort. She has no business in the music industry.

You're referring to this?

It's enjoyable, not amazing, but it's not trying to be.

I've heard of this on the internet.

Fun fact, your post was the first time I really tried to listen to this song - I gave up after the first two seconds, I can tell this isn't something I want to listen too.

Other people are making fun of it... fair enough, if they have nothing better to do. Perhaps they should get a job or something? Maybe a hobby? Papercraft is fun, and you get a nice end product - I'd recommend it.

it's not THAT bad. sure it's bad but that's just because it's not my type of music, even so i wouldn't say it's the worst song ever

The song, I strongly dislike. She's singing about nothing.
All the memes it has led to, however...

I much prefer the Sunday which comes after Saturday; if you didn't know.

But yes, the song is terrible, but what can we do now it's here?

I'm assuming (hoping) that this girl is a genius who has figured out how easy it is to make money by making terrible music and feeding it to the masses and has proved it by doing it herself. The reality, however, is that she's just another idiot pop singer

The song is crap. The singer is not the problem with it. Everything else about the song is just wrong. We can't even hear if she has a good voice or not because some tech bloke feed it through a computer so much that it could be Microsoft Sam singing and we'd never know.

I... I don't honestly know what to say... I'm at a loss for words...

*fetal position*

EDIT: Ok so I found some words... I think this is almost tragic. This girl is obviously trying very hard, but she really isn't cut out to be a singer, and the lyrics... well, I hope that only the demographic of 12 year old girls think these lyrics are good, and that even some of them understand how excruciatingly bad they really are.

I'm sorry girl, I say two things; give it a few more years, go to a writing class and get singing lessons, mature a bit and then come back. Or just stop. That also works. I just hope this isn't the future of music. God I really hope it isn't...
