After finally seeing reservior dogs, which i found entertaining, i still didnt think it lived up to the expectations i had for it. I loved kill bill and inglourious bastards, not to mention the grindhouse films, yet im still no sure where i stand with his film making, What does the escapist community think?

Probably my favourite director/producer/writer/whatever. Makes for some fantastic movies and always leaves a mark on whatever he's working on, you can just tell it's Tarantino's film when you see one.

Arguably the best filmmaker working today and certainly one of the best of all time.

I liked Inglourious Basterds and Reservoir Dogs.
I disliked Kill Bill.
I hated Pulp Fiction.

I guess he's an okay filmmaker, I don't know anything about his personality though.

I've watched Deathproof and it was okay but there wasn't really any point to it...

I've watched Kill Bill Volume 1 and enjoyed it but I have yet to see Volume 2.

I've only seen Resevoir Dogs, and that was when I wasn't really paying attention.

I remember it being quite good though.

The only one of his films I haven't thought was great was Deathproof, but that wasn't exactly awful.

He's pretty damn good at what he does and he does it like no one else.

He's an above average director who makes fun movies. I enjoy his movies. I don't think they're the greatest ever, but I do really enjoy his movies, especially Pulp Fiction. I'm more of a Ridley Scott/Stanley Kubrick kind of person though.

He's overrated.
I would generally agree with this.

Now Christopher Nolan, that guy's a fucking genius. Memento kicks ass.
Again I have to agree; Christopher Nolan is a fantastic director. I don't even like Batman and I think he's great.

he makes really good movies. I like all of his I've seen, but I reckon his best might just be Jackie Brown. he really is a master of dialogue and plot and cinematography and timing . . . well, I'm a fan, eh?

even so, I'd be hard pressed to include any of his films in my top ten.

What stands out of his films are the ridiculous violence and the brilliant dialogue. And since I like ridiculous violence and brilliant dialogue, I like his films.
