Among those 20 lists, which one is your favorite gaming year?

I'm going with 1994 closely followed by 1996 and 1995. Today is cool but the 90s were too awesome.

2008/2009 were good. Mirrors Edge, Valkyria Chronicles, Arkham Asylum, Bayonetta, Demons Souls, Persona 4, Borderlands, Prime Trilogy and NGS2 on place 74. 'supwidat

And 1996 was good. Just look at it and c'mon, LSL7 in place 65 What were people playing back then!

Just added my lists. I found any year prior to 1998 a little difficult but that's mainly because I've missed a lot of integral titles due to not getting my own game system until '98.

As for best year, I'd have to go with 2005 or 2013. Probably 2005 though.

2006, based completely on personal bias. Okami and Twilight Princess, man. Year of the Canine. It's my best year, and it's when I have a lot of good memories. I wish I could say mine was somewhere in the nineties, but I'm still a young whipper-snapper.

1998 was memorable for me, looking at the list we had Populous: The Beginning, Resident Evil 2, Baldur's Gate, Warhammer: Dark Omen, Thief, Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Half Life, Metal Gear Solid, Starcraft, Grim Fandango, Tenchu: Stealth Assassin. God damn, what a line up, I miss the 90's.

2009. I only played one current game from this year and...that was Resident Evil 5...

2006. Gears of War (I'm pretty sure this is the only other game I played from this year besides MKA and fuck that game)
