Hmmm... Before I get into my top list, here is a question: What do you define a favourite game? i) A game that you spent lots of hours with it, or ii) one that made you such a sheer impression that you'll be talking about it for years to come even if you don't play it as much as other games? If I categorised my favourite games by the first choice, then my list would be filled with an embarassingly large number of jrpgs (Final Fantasy in particular) and multiplayer-oriented games (Smash Bros and Mario Kart). But while these are all well and good, I personally think that a measure of a good game lies mostly on the fond memories that it can create as well as its ability to withstand the test of time (meaning that this list can potentially change in the future) and thus I will go with the second choice for my list. And with this (boring) introduction here is my personal top 10 games:
1. Planescape - Torment (PC)
2. Viewtiful Joe (GC)
3. Killer7 (GC)
4. Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time (GC)
5. Silent Hill 2 (PC)
6. Eternal Darkness - Sanity's Requiem (GC)
7. Castlevania - Symphony of the Night (PS)
8. Fire Emblem (GBA)
9. Final Fantasy VI (GBA)
10. Pikmin 2 (GC)
P.S. So yeah, I love Gamecube a bit too much.
