1) Timesplitters: Future Perfect (all platforms) - greatest game ever made ever.
2) Timesplitters 2 (all platforms) - also greatest game ever made ever
3) Timesplitters (PS2) - started the franchise of the greatest games ever made ever
4) The Witcher (PC) - stat-based RPG, choices with actual consequences, interesting story
5) DOOM (the original, on PC) - after 16 years its still fun as hell

Yes I like Timesplitters to a point thats probably unhealthy, big whoop wanna fight about it?

I love plenty of other games a lot, but I can't mention them because just 5 games is just too restricting.

Darn it! I don't know! There are way too many games the I think deserve very special attention as I have said in a thread much similar to this one. Yeah, I know it's a lame answer but it was a bad question.

Timesplitters is badass, omg. They need to release one for the PS3/360 already. Online would be glorious.

In no real order, I would have to say

Red Dead Redemption
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Portal
Mass Effect series
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

All for different reasons, but they're all great games.

The top 3 are in no particular order. There's no way I could put any one above the others.
Portal
Metroid Prime 1 & 2
The World Ends With You

Number 4 would be Braid, mostly for that last level, but also for the great game that surrounded it.

The last spot is a toss up between Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 and Mass Effect 1 & 2. Both are worthy of the spot, but again, I can't choose one or the other.

My list changes about a bit with ordering, but this is generelly it.

[bold]1. Age of Empires II[\bold]
Absolutely awesome. I wasn't that good at it, and still havn't even played online seriously on it. But all of it's modes from Campaigns and Random Maps, to the scenario maker and custom AIs gave it so much replay value I never felt I needed online. That and getting my metaphorical rear-end handed to me wasn't that appealing.

[bold]2. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion[\bold]
I really need to look into Morrowind from the sounds of things, but I loved Oblivion and have became re-addicted to it after Skyrim was announced.

[bold]3. Shadowrun[\bold]
Truly an under appreciated title. For months I couldn't play any other multiplayer FPS, as they all dimmed in comparrison to what Shadowrun had achieved. Here's how a match played: You selected your race; either Human, Elf, Troll or Dwarf, each with their own stats and ability. You then played a first to 6 round wins with the opposing team, where before each round you bought Magic, Tech and new Weapons with the money you earned from the previous round. Alot of these "perks" completely changed how the game played compare with other shooters, but the Teleport spell sticks in my mind - it completely changed how maps could e travlled, and was a unique feature the game would have been so much more the worse for not having. I could write a LOT more but I'll leave it there.

[bold]4. Klonoa: Door to Phantomile[\bold]
A platformer for the Playstation. Somehow the developers managed perfection, although nostalgia may influence it onto my list more than any other game on the list. Great bosses, great levels, great music.

[bold]5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2[\bold]
I've put an ungodly amount of hours into this to the extent that you'd have to pair two other games from my list to exceed it. A lot of people moan about it, but it's still popular for a reason. I won't pretend to know that reason, but I like it all the same.
