Eddie Murphy!!!

Seriously, I am shocked he has not been listed yet! The others I'd mention have already been said.

Welcome to the escapist! Refreshments are in the pantry, and see that door? Pretend you don't. The basement is... forget I said anything!

This is a tough one, so I'll go in no particular order here:
Dave Attell
Louis C.K.
Bill Burr
George Carlin
...Can't place another, I'll come back to this one.
Dave Attell, hot and hilarious.
Also Martin Person (not hot, just hilarious)

It's funny, 80% of these I don't know. Could be because they seem to be mostly American.

Imma gonna saya that cast of Good News Week. They're always good laugh. Especially on the Great Debates.

Sadly I imagine most young people don't even know about his early stand up career, only knowing for being the cheap option in crappy comedy movies, as he's willing to play every role himself and save on actors.

It's a shame because he WAS a great stand up comedian, I have a lot of respect for early Murphy, shame he went all Norbit.

Just because this thread is lacking in examples, I'm going to try to pull out some names that don't show up in every thread, even tho they've made it enough to get a bit of telly:

and as Tim Minchin's come up a fair bit, here's a musical comic who's not so well known...I give you Wilson Dixon (He's in New Zealand, just so the early banter makes sense) :D
