That moment I wanted to pick up Minecrafter, but never did, and thus saved dozens of hours which I put into productive, real-world work.
So watching porn, right?

OT: I made a huge underground complex, and one day I ran down to the bottom to explore a cave I'd come across (I'd had to board it up with a wall since there were so many Creepers about), only to run straight into a Creeper who was just waiting for me at the bottom.

Nearly had a fucking heart attack.

Not having Minecraft and watching YouTube videos of it, one of my favorite moments was on a player called "Seananners" channel where he was deep inside of a cave wandering around. When he came across a creeper, the thing hissed at him and he turned and ran away.

The next few moments consisted of him running while yelling "Oh God, Oh God," until he ran past some gold ore and it turned to "Oh God, Oh God, Oh GOLD! Oh God," as the creeper continued the chase.

I forget which video in his LP it was though.

When I spawned in a cave, with no weapons, no light, and no clue what was going on. Minecraft you're awesome.

Happened recently with all the buggy slime spawns. I was just minding my own business, mining on Y 11, I turn around and my entire tunnel is filled with slimes all coming after me suddenly.

I was like SHIT and logged off immediately. Logged back on and they were all gone.

I have three choices.

I started digging a tunnel for a subway that would take me from one side of my island to the other. Reaching the other side and seeing the sun again was a pretty fantastic moment. Do not underestimate how absurdly long this tunnel is. It goes on FOREVER.

I discovered a very huge cavern. I mean HUGE. I've been exploring it for months now and I still find new passages and diamonds. The first time I found it however, I got VERY lost. Hours passed until I decided I needed to dig my way up to secure my something like 20 diamonds' safety. Seeing the sun again and making it out alive was great.

My last one would be finishing my maze. I had shitloads of cobblestone laying around with no real use for it so I made a freaking GIANT maze. When I say giant I mean if you stand on one edge looking towards the opposite edge the fog comes in and you the game doesn't render the opposite side. Also I built this in the ocean so I filled in the floor with cobblestone myself. Finishing it then giving it a run through was very fun. Got lost in my own maze, and I knew the general path throughout it. I want to have a friend run through it. They're bound to get VERY lost.

Scouring the world for diamond, mining obsidian and building a portal (yes I now know there are better ways to do that). Once in hell. I got lost. Got attacked by Ghasts (scary as fuck). Ran out of arrows. Then got bomb-rushed by crazy pigs. Used my diamond sword up. Used my iron sword. Used my back-up iron sword. Ran out of that too. Had two life left (I had armor in the beginning). Got killed by the last one... Damn you Pig-men!

When I first discovered caves in classic mode. I was digging downward to build a secret lair (shut up, I'm special) and fell into a cave, and my jaw dropped.

Next to that it would probably be my first time playing alpha mode when I started giggling like a schoolgirl when I realized that I could build an island fortress.

Honestly, minecraft is at its best when you first start playing it, and you don't know what to expect, and even the simplest things delight you, like building a house.

I have a server, in which my friends and I built a museum, which I'll post pics of later, and a massive train terminal with a glass roof. When I stop using hamachi, and make it properly online, I'll put up the ip.
We explored after a while, and we found an error in the generator. I'll post pics at a later date. I'll edit this post and put them up.

My favorite moment was finishing my huge fortress up in the mountains. My most frustrating moment was a gang of creepers blowing chunks out of it.

My friend and I built a huge castle on his server, then walled around our lands and built a village complete with monumental cathedral inside it.

That and the TNT trap that we liked to call "The Apocolypse".

Getting lost underground is always fun. Dig up stupid! Of course that works only until you dig through the ocean floor.

Being in my school's tech lab and screaming at a zombie that jumped into my face, quite the quizzical looks for the rest of that period.

Building an underground megacomplex inside an island out of natural caves which I artificially connected then did some cleaning on to make everything neat and tidy and building walls at the exits of the caves out of dirt with windows looking out. Looking at it from the mountain across the water it looked almost totally natural except for the windows.

I remember when i found my very first dungeon. It was so huge and i was so thrilled about going there, exploring and such, that i even forgot to replenish my porkchops and torches and immediately went there.Of course, the second i went deep into the dungeon, i got lost.I didn't realize that at the moment because i was digging for the gold, redstone, metal, diamonds and lots of other usefull resources. Then hour or so passed, i was very tired and decided to take a brake.I looked around myself and realized that very instant, that i don't remember how i got here.It was really terrifying, i felt like i was lost.I started to panic, hyperventilating, my claustrophobia began reminding of itself.I felt trapped.I wanted to get out.I decided that i can't go wrong with going up, so i just went up.Naturally, i came to a dead end, and was forced to decide wheter to go north, south, east, or west.Sadly, i didn't have compass on my hands, since that was my very first exploring expedition and i was completely unprepared. Not knowing wheter that was the right route or not, I went straight forward.I was really scared and amazed, at same time, by that dungeon's huge system of long tunnels. It looked like a human's job, but that was impossible, because it was a singleplayer...unless...it was someone...a person, with no eyes, someone who died long time ago, but who still wanders in the world seeking for peace. But then again, that is just a legend that drunken miners tell their kids.I decided not to fill my head with it, and was going forward, till i found a little room at the end of that tunnel.it was just one, little room with no other exits, other than the one i came from.I..I gave up.I was so desperate to find an exit, but i couldn't do it, no matter how hard i digged. This burning feeling of hopelessness, was single most painful feeling i've ever had.I sat on the floor, and started to eat my last porkshop, thus making my chances to survive even smaller.Suddenly, i caught something barely visible on the ceiling. It was dark in that room and i couldn't tell what it was, but it looked very different from the cobblestone. It was very soft, and crumbly and...it...it was sand! And so i digged, i digged, and i digged like i never digged before, and the very moment i finished with that single block, water began pouring out with all its might.I've never been so happy in my entire life.I dived right in, and went straight up.Oh the sun, how i missed you!I got out of the water onto the shore and was lying there for a while, still catching breath from the water.I saved.

This was my top favorite Mineraft moment.
