Doesn't matter if it's top ten, the argument boils down to "YOUR FAVOURITE GAMES"...

Sorry, it wasn't a very original idea in the first place.

Get something to inspire you, even if it's small. Make a thread about that.

I normally do. Its because me and my friends were talking about top ten games. cos he knew what my fave games were so we both listed out top ten.
I think it makes people feel better knowing what the next game they play has to beat.

When it comes to playing games I am willing to try anything once, however these are the games I find myself coming back to again and again and no matter how much time I plug into them I still find my self thrilled at the prospect of sitting down and playing these games

- Mass effect
- Half-Life 2
- Counter-Strike
- Halo (The original 2 and 3 were only meh)
- Empire: Total War (even though I thoroughly enjoy the entire series)
- World of Warcraft
- Red Faction Guerilla (I can't get enough destroying rebuilding and destroying again)
- Modern Warfare 2 (although I simultaniously love and hate this game)
- Company of Heroes (there is always a new way to play this game, just like war nothing goes according to plan)
- Battlefield Series (couldn't pick one because I've played all but vietnam and bad company and loved every one of them, I look forward to Bad company 2)

Honorable mention goes to Black and White 2 mostly because it has no free play challange or anything other than campaign, like seriously wtf where are the game extending bits like multiplayer or simply something besides the story
