Basically what it says on the title. What are some of your rather unpopular opinions regarding comic books? They could be about characters, writers, artists, genres, the medium etc
Ok, I'll get things started with this. Batman. Batman is not THAT great a character but he is not THE most awesome character nor should he be. I'm so sick of writers always turning Batman into this.

I think graphic novels as a medium has much potential, and there's nothing really to criticize about it.

However, I irk how in superhero comics villains and heros battle endlessly for years without end, and there's no real resolution to the conflict. The characters don't even age, and none of the significant characters and villains die.
I'd pay to see a comic of the Joker finally dying a canon permanent death and not resurrected by some "holy water of life" or something.

Nick Fury (116) is way more awesome than Ultimate Nick Fury, no disrepect to Samuel L Jackson, but regular is way more awesome

Comic books are simply too dark these days. We've had a deconstructions already! Yes, superheroes can be dark but they can be fun too! We need more Tom Strongs!!

Comic books need to stop making the character into franchise. They need to concentrate more on the story. Stop having cross over and alternative story line and spin off and all that crap. Ending stories and killing off characters are the way to go.
