i'm gonna go out on a limb and say that SMB3 is the greatest game in history. i played that game so much that by the time i was 3 i could get to world 6 without help
I very, VERY vaguely remember playing Pitfall! on the Atari 2600 at a relative's house when I was 3 or 4. I think my brother had a Sega Master System around that same time, but I honestly can't remember ever playing anything on it. The first game I distinctly remember playing was Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt on the NES on my 5th birthday.
I'm pretty sure it was this [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garfield:_A_Big_Fat_Hairy_Deal], although I might have played some more basic stuff before that. It's the first game I have a strong memory of.
I played quite a few little platforming demos on my dad's pc that we used to get on the floppy disks with magazines. And while I can't be sure it was the first proper game I played, Albion for the pc (amazing rpg, but very dated now) is the first I really remember. It rocked my world and really got me into gaming.
