Actually, this is something seen quite often in fiction about King Arthur, called 'courtly love'. As in, the young knight expresses his devotion to an unattainable lady, often married, and dedicates his deeds to her, with no hope or (typically) want for anything sexual in return for his regard. Would the character count as a waifu if you wank to the character's picture and if they were real you probable just want to have sex a couple of times and be done, having no real interest to a relationship with the character?

11 pages and we still have people coming in saying "this is weird" and other people defending their own opinions about what characters they like, LOL.
with that said, this thread has made me want to watch MLP. I'm curious since the show can be enjoyed by all ages and has some interesting character development...unless I heard wrong.
