Sometimes you come across a moment in the vast reaches of space that make you go "... Huh." I've had several, and I think a thread for them would be kinda fun, so we can at least enjoy ourselves with the content-cut universe we're exploring.

1st moment: I waited for the Sentinals to send in the walker. It's very dangerous without shield upgrades. But then I turned around after being beamed in the back for 2/3 of my shield gauge to see it flipping out while stuck inside of an outpost building. The thing spawned inside the metal-bar like structure, glitching between 3 different positions at a rapid pace. It could hit me, I could hit it, but it couldn't move. And when I killed it, it pinged off the building, flew off a cliff and rolled down the side of a mountain until it despawned. Hilarious.

2nd moment: This one I got a screencap for. I got one for the other, but forgot to put it in paint and save it. Oops. I'll let the picture speak for itself: http://imgur.com/a/PFMYl
Let it be known that I am the best at parking my ships!

Edit: Please tell some actual stories from gameplay or from what you've seen elsewhere, not make jokes about broken promises and stuff. We get it, they fucked up

I was pretty chuffed when I got to the "refund" screen, but nothing prepared me for the excitement of the "pre-ordering Deus Ex" event.

I signed into Steam the other day and there was a proud announcement for No Man's Sky: "NOW AVAILABLE! ?39.99"

I don't know if it qualifies as wacky, strictly speaking, but I laughed so hard my eyes nearly fell out. The colour palette is definitely as wacky as a clown abortion, though.

The two years of strongly implying an MP experience, and then delivering none of that was pretty whacky, in that I wanted to whack someone.

I can't find the link, but there was some kind of bouncy T-Rex looking thing that someone fired up on Reddit. That was kind of cool.

I had a species of floppy-dig ear tyrannosaurs just lazing around being docile and vegetarian whilst a species of antler deer types tried to rip my lungs out. Same God-damned planet.

You do got me! Thanks. :)

Hehe, look at that funny guy ambulate.
I just found something similar the other day. Was close to that size, have hooves, and feathers along with its thick main body. It's so derpy... As is a lot of the stuff you find generating in the game

Every time I take off in my ship and randomly get rocketed into orbit instead of a few dozen feet of the ground and know that I will almost definitely never see the place I was on that planet ever again.

Or when I come to a new planet to see it has pretty much exactly the same everything as the last dozen. Oh look a cave, it will have stalagmites, stalactites, an oozing rock of some kind and a glowing flower just like every other cave in the universe. It will also have plutonium everywhere and green crystals of either gold, aluminum, or emeril. Om rare occasions it will have a large deposit to mine in the wall of gold etc. though I usually don't bother mining large deposits since it takes forever, half the deposit will be destructible yet yield nothing whatsoever, and the amount you get of an element is nothing compared to the same element in crystal form.

Also the sheer amount of lies and bullshit they sold this game with, and continue to, makes me go wtf. Its one thing to have ideas for content that never see the light of day, like the original ending to Soul Reaver or Oscar's storyline in Dark Souls. Its another thing to straight up lie about features that you claim are in game, month after month, on TV etc. right up to launch when you know damn well that those statements and even the TRAILER you have on Steam NOW are fraudulent.

I didn't follow the hype at all. I barely even noticed this game existed between its initial reveal and its release, I got it and had fun for a few days, having plenty of crashes on PS4 of course. I was primed to head to the center of the galaxy after telling Atlas to scram.

Now of course I haven't played in a few days, because I have no reason to. I know now that reaching the center is worse than pointless, and that following Atlas would likely be way more interesting than whatever Nana and Polo have to offer which so far has been squat. Expensive squat as I paid a lot for blueprints I already own. I only find stuff I already have, from even before I left the first planet.

I already know all Vy'keen words, and most Gek. Though its not like it matters, every encounter has a paragraph detailing the gist of everything and you max out your mostly pointless rank with each race after like 3 minutes of meeting one.

It wasn't until I was looking for nonexistent patch notes that I learned of the 90% of the game we didn't get. That makes me go "huh" alright.

was directed to 'Alien Ruins' underwater that didnt exist. Just an empty spot that looked flat enough for it to have meant to be there.

And I pulse jumped away once after attacking a freighter only to brake really quickly. Turns out I didnt boosr away far enough and had to wait while a sentinal fifteen minutes away caught up to me. And it was preventing me from pulse jumping. I spent a little while flying towards it before I realised this meant I could raid more freighters easily and had a marvellous time waiting for it getting rich. And then the sentinal was on me either because I didnt pay attention or it teleported and I nearly died so it was a bit like:
