One word.

Proof to me that any game, no matter how much development time, no matter how many great minds behind it, no matter how many ingenious parts, can be shit.

EDIT: wow, ninja'd all the way down to the wording.

And I have to agree with his edit too; it may not be the worst game of the decade, but it is without a doubt the most disappointing. The title of worst probably goes to one I haven't played, such as the Iron Man game or Ninja Breadman.

This whole series fucking sucked, and most people defending it are either in complete denial or ten year olds with worn-out trigger buttons on their controllers. A series which requires little to no skill to play should have never been as revered as it as.

Don't give me that "it's good it you read the books" I already read the books. The books are actually pretty decent, but that doesn't make the game itself suck any less. Take The Flood for example: In the first game, you spend about 45 minutes to an hour running through a long Hallway of One Texture doing pretty much the same fucking thing over and over until you hit the next room. The Flood somehow made this entertaining, something TEH BEST GAME EVAH failed to accomplish.

The saddest thing about this entire franchise is that the absolute best game was the altered-reality game "I Love Bees" which wasn't even created by Bungie, but by a company who actually KNOWS good story structure: 42 Entertainment. And I bet none of you douchebags even knows what "I Love Bees" OR what an altered reality game is. But let's let that slide for just a moment while I point out that this game was more engaging, had better character development, has superior voice acting, and was much more fun than everything else in the Halo franchise, ever.

Oh by the way, Bungie's superior series was Marathon. Watching Bungie go from the grand trilogy that is Marathon to the utter shit that is Halo makes me lose my faith in modern gaming.

surely the worst game ever is one that had no real impact on gaming bad games have their place as do good games but truely the worst game is somthing that has done nothing for gaming im putting forward games like the sabateur or dead space games that i think didnt really add anything
I'd imagine one of those interactive grammar teaching discs supermarkets shelve in the "PC Games" section (they make me cringe every time I see them) could add quite a lot for you.

And The Saboteur gave me nearly 20+ hours of cheesy fun; I'd hardly call that a waste.

I would've said killing floor, but it was patched, updated, and now among my favourites.

Any Sim title was rather dissapointing. But hey. I thought some games were worse, such as those damn ''Bratz'' games my sister plays.

Of what I've played: Mirror's Edge; Generally un-fun, terrible story, graphics- in fact, just about terrible EVERYTHING.

What I like to make fun of: Baby's First Steps (Wii); That's right, people! This game exists!
The style of Mirror's Edge was great. The graphics were fine. I agree about the story though. I hope the second one has a better story.

Ah there's quite a few let downs but yeah the biggest one for me has to be Viking Battle for Asgard. I heard interesting things before (slaughter undead Vikings and pillage towns) but as awesome as it sounds you get a buggy, repetitive, open world game that is just depressing to play even worse to think you spent £40 on it.... bad times

Definitely has to be bullet witch for me. If you haven't played this game then don't it's awful, no real plot, instructions on what to do, training, no well anything to be fair.

I'm seeing lots of "Spore" here.
Does anyone remember that beta demo a couple of years ago with Will Wright and Robin Williams? That was pure AWESOME. Too bad they had to fuck it up.

Manhunt.
After all the hype it got, I thought I would buy it and see what it was like.
I played it for about 20 minutes and I just didn't see what the big deal about it was. It was boreing and had nothing special about it going on.
Maybe I've been desensitized by games/films or life in general, but it just got boreing and repetitive. And that's coming from a WoW player...

Marathon was great yes, but does that mean that Halo is shit? Because one thing is good and another is not as good does it meant the latter is shit? Yeah, Marathon was better, but just because Halo is not as good yet more popular doesn't mean it's shit. Its fucking hard to market a game that was on the god damn mac, and because it was on map (and most people buy pc) it was not popular. But you see, people could get Halo without having a mac, and it was good. Thats why its fucking popular. People could actually get it when it cameo out. I like both, but it seems you have a "because its not as good, its shit" mentality so fuck you.
