Project Sylpheed, worst space flight sim ever, and for 5$, I still feel ripped off. Also, I hear Rogue Warrior was pretty bad as well.

That's a hard one but, I think maybe the craptastic budget title PC shooter Navy Seals: Weapons of Mass Destruction. Good lord that was terrible...

let me see....

Mario Bros 3, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy VI, Chrno Trigger, Contra, Megaman 3, all those ugly 2d graphics simply wont cut it, GIVE ME MORE HALO, and CODs to frag and curse really LOUD!!!

Ahhhh the flaming a post like this would make would be epic, i could be banned from the site just for joking about this, but alas i was just joking, seriously now, there are several thurds i played trough the decades but sticking to recent turds ill say SPORE, LEGENDARY, TOO HUMAN, and LAIR further hurt because i was actually expecting them to be good due to pedigree mostly

I'm generally pretty careful about doing my research prior to investing any money, but if I had to pick, I'd have to say Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. I really like Disgaea and figured it would be similar, but it plain isn't. It's Disgaea minus everything that makes a strategy RPG video game more interesting than a plain chess match. (And yes, I am aware of which game came first.)
Man, after playin a masterpiece like disgaea theres nothing much you can play that would "seem" good, FFT by the time it came out was quite good, (excellent i dare say) i played back there on the PS1 as one of the very first TRPGS or mi life, then years later i played disgaea and enyojed both about the same, you just cant judge them on the same basis even if they are in the same genre, tactics is like a "begginers course" for the genre, experienced gamers are not supposed to like it, its to basic and crude, and lacks the EXTREME depth of disgaea thats just the opposite, is the "grand masters course" of the genre, just go look at the reviews and scores if you dont believe me, the game is good is just that you got to late to it, my absolute favorite in the genre is FRONT MISSION 3 for the ps1 call me crazy but thats my opinion, and the last one i played and trul enyojed is Joan of Ark on the PSP wich is just as simple and basic as FFT

hey, i LOVED final fantasy tactics for the PS! the story pwnd my asshole! *sob* it was so sad...

anyway, worst game of the decade...

..........................

I don't know, lol. But a good competer is monster hunter freedom unite. fucking difficult. It was just my least favorite, i guess.
Well, you have to understand that I try to avoid playing games that are outright bad. So even though I may view that game as the worst of the decade for me, you have to realize that it's not such a strong criticism. Think of it like saying that it was the least good, in my opinion.

Deus Ex.
God that thing was terrible.
EDIT: Apparently I posted in this thread pre-necro and said Eternal Sonata and Spore.
I changed my mind, Deus Ex wins the prize for awfulness.

Devil May Cry 2 for me. Not that it is actually the worst game released in the last 10 years but it was definitely the one which disappointed me most.

Either Shadowrun or Halo 2. Well the PC versions at least. The first was basically a shame to the license of the Shadowrun world, and the second was supposed to be Live cross-compatible, but it came out after Halo 3.

Having been a fan of the Shadowrun universe since 1992, the only game that even comes close to the pen & paper version is on the Genesis. The SNES had a good if not VERY stretched story, the Sega CD one never hit the states, and the new version was basically here's a lot of crap we made up to try to balance a still bland shooter.

Halo 2 for the PC wasn't a horrible game in and of itself. I know this because I enjoyed halo 2 for the X-Box. Halo 2 for the PC was horrible because it was supposed to offer compatibility with the PC and X-Box Live. Well, who the hell is going to play Halo 2 since Halo 3 came out about a month before that. Of course, in order to actually play Halo 2 on Live cross-compatible, you need to have upgraded to Windows Vista. Basically Halo 2 for the PC was a grab for cash that everybody saw through. Shadowrun also had this problem. I think I can get people to give me copies of these two games, along with a handful of pocket change because of the Microsoft fail.

I guess it's not the game I hate, just the idea that I hate. Dikatana was the worst game made. It probably didn't help that it wasn't originally supposed to be released this decade. It was supposed to be released LAST decade.

Hm, I think my contenders are Soul Calibur 4 and Mass Effect.

Soul Calibur 4 because the previous titles all seemed to be pushing what could be expected of beat-em-ups, and yet SC4 brought nothing new. The story mode was an absolute joke, with all the cut scenes being more or less the same for each character and being given a one-line ending with a scary sense of finality to it. The whole game was phoned in compared to SC2 and SC3.

Mass Effect because I really wanted to like it, and found loads of things about it to enjoy, but it had loads of bug issues (as it stands, if the installation corrupts again and I need to reinstall it for my husband, I'll need a whole new copy, thanks to the DRM) and, as I have said countless billions of times, the FUCKING mako made it unplayable to me.

Assassins Creed. Hated that game. I love Assassins Creed 2 though.
I skipped AC1 because of the numerous complaints about the repetitive gameplay... but I loved AC2 so much, I find myself tempted to extend the experience by picking up the original, no matter how much my mind says NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Press A to Blend. Now do that every single time you see a guard in the countryside, ever, or a horde of them will follow you all over the goddamn place. Also, there are a ton of bugs and a general lack of refinement in the first one. I really don't recommend it.

Edit: Also, there's no fast travel in the first one. Also, water is an insta-kill. However, there are plenty of annoying beggars.
mwahaha i loved when that happened, getting like 40-50 of those suckers following me, and how bad they are at combat, i found it a fun little challenge to destroy that whole group in less than 5 minutes, i would purposely go around on the horse and round me up some cattle (a.k.a. dumbass guards) to brand them my bitches.

the first game is super repetitive but its still worth at least a playthrough i would say.

"Worst game" is a relative term.

Some people like what others will not.

I don't think there can be an overall "Worst" game.

But from my personal experience, the worst game I have played would have to be Wanted: Weapons of Fate.
Weapons of fate was decent at best until you played as the father with a turret, and then all your bullet time, all your skill, and everything that makes you powerful is sapped away and it's just the luck of hoping you spot and kill everything before you die

The only thing that counts in THIS decade would be something from Newgrounds. On the flipside, though, there are games there I like, so...yeah.

Said it many times and i'll say it again: Too Human. The concept of the game sounded so good but the gameplay was so fucking terrible i marched back down to GAME after 15 minutes playing it to get my money back.

Kingdom Hearts. Terrible mechanics, combat, and pacing. I couldn't get through the first 3-4 levels without throwing my controller across the room.

Runner up is Fallout 3, because it crashed too much to be playable.
