Flying vehicles in any Battlefield game.
....
Just... stupid helicopters!
Also done this. Bad Company and I decide to go online for some action. I see the helicopter and get all excited for flying vehicle. I figured it should be fun, because it was in single-player. No one told me the helicopter in single player was different. I planted that thing into a cliff my first flight in multiplayer. My next two attempts weren't that good either.
Eventually, I gave up learning to fly with keyboard and mouse by hooking up a controller to my PC. It remedies the problem to an extent, but I still sit back in awe that manages to fly AND land a helicopter without crashing, and those people are usually rare and have a controller on stand-by, next to their keyboard.
I actually find that to be quite easy.

Team Slayer on Narrows in Halo 3. I manage to grab both sniper rifles and the rocket launcher and take them to the back of the map to try and snipe people off the middle walkway. I jump backwards to get right to the back, misjudge it and plunge off the opposite side to my death, taking the two best weapons on the map with me without having fired a shot... It all went downhill from there :/

Playing Street Fighter IV on PC. All is well, and I'm thinking I'm good. So this clan guy says:

"Up for a game?"

Ofcourse I was, I'm gonna kick his ass! So we're in the game, and he messages:

"Framerate should be fixed in options, its really slow for me."

You see, if you don't do that, the game is 2 times as slow. I had learned it 2 times as slow. My friend needed 8 seconds on average to beat me.

Everytime I send a mortar strike in Bad Company and end up getting a teamkill but not killing what I was trying to kill in the first place. Happens all of the fucking time.

I was playing TF2 as the pyro, and I saw an enemy Scout. I started to run towards him with my flamethrower at full blast. Needless to say I got my ass handed to me.

Bum-Rushing a Tank in Left4Dead and not realizng that 1. All my other party members are being incapped by other zombies and 2. I only had like...3 shots left for my shotgun...and it was the crappy shotgun...and I had no molotov...or pills. Worst part is I could have totally gotten to the safe room but I had stopped and gone to another room to try and find a better gun.

Using a grenade launcher in BF2. or any game for that matter.

And my counternoob point are the 100+ yard kills with a throwing knife against snipers and stuff. :D

Mine was probably asking where the bank was in World of Warcraft. In Ironforge, I was outside of the Auction house. For those that don't know, the bank is directly across from it. It's the only thing in that direction. I was wondering why nobody was answering my question.

In my early days of playing CS:S...

I was told, to bring up the in-game console, press F10.

And I did.

...twice.

I'm stunned...how in the hell is that even possible? Did you pull the entire dungeon right up to VC or something??

OT and related to the quote: not using enchantments when I first started playing WoW because they were "too expensive" and "armor kits work just as well".
