Your Worst Noob moment

Was playing Gears of War 2, 4 vs. 4 and for the first few rounds I was getting no kills AT ALL. This is despite me having played online quite a bit. Fortunately I redeemed myself as all my team members were dead, all 4 enemy team members were still alive, and I'm getting insulted by both sides. I single handedly killed every member of the opposing team.

Nothing noob moment: First time playing Halo 3 on co-op. My friend got into a hornet I think it's called (the little human aircraft) and he told me to grab on the side so we could destroy a pair of scarabs. Me being an idiot pulled the left trigger, throwing a sticky grenade onto the hornet killing us both.

i have many of these moments but one of the most recent was in Rome total war multiplayer. After choosing are factions all we have to do was click a little arrow in a corner to choose our units. I didnt see it so i thought the host had to decide.

it turns out that i was wrong and everyone was waiting for me to pick them. i ended up leaving in embarrassment. This probably pissed them off even more.

I tried (several times) to play CSS thinking I would do ok. No kills later, I realized everyone else had been playing for years and are all headshot gods. I actually got ok at it though, no longer the worst, but certainty not good.

In halo 3 I accidently got out of a hornet and got crushed under it... I was a noob at that game at the time.

Every time I play COD4 I blow myself up with my own airstrike or grenades. I'm seriously mentally challenged in that game.

Your not alone there, I once died three times from the same airstrike (my own by the way.)

Heres what happened.

I called in the airstrike I got only, to be killed by someone straight, after I called it.

I then respawned to the same area, that I sent my airstrike to, I was killed, I then reswpawned again at the exact same place, was killed and then I respawned again. Try and guess what happened the third time.

Although I'm not sure if that's a noob moment or just plain bad luck. I guess both.

Yeah that's another common one... and I always forget not to press respawn on Shipment. I too have been killed three times by the same airstrike.

Another classic of mine:

Killed a guy and ran straight into the silo on countdown.

Must have looked very funny on the killcam...

The first time I played Kingdom Hearts 1. I couldn't figure out what to do or where to go when the heartless invade Destiny Island. So the next day I got the strategy guide, of which I read about three sentences than never touched it again.

Socom US Navy Seals. Only two moments that really stand out for me. On a jungle-like level, with the graphics, it was almost impossible to distinguish between friend and foe, so, with all these people yelling over the headset, I accidentally teamkilled a guy who was right next to an enemy. The other moment was that I couldn't see an enemy who was hiding in a level. I knew he was there, because all the dead players told me as much afterwards, but I could not for the life of me see him. That camo really works.

I guess that's what I get for staying up so damn late playing though - awful eyesight and shitty reflexes.

I generally flash grenade myself with my own grenade on COD4, as well as actually get lost on a Halo map; the amount of times Ive tried to escape from someone only to turn 180o into a wall...

I was standing on top of the witch, asking my friend where she was. I panicked as I heard her get angrier, and began to yell at the AI. It was then that I got 0wnd.

I was playing a game of Halo 3 on The Pit. I had a rocket launcher and clear shot at my friend who was walking by. I kept the rocket launcher on him, and when I fired, I hit the wall and killed myself.

That was embarrassing.

Aw, you and that other guy beat me to it.

The very first time I played TF2, it was on the first stage of dustbowl, and I was offense. As soon as the gates opened, a sniper headshotted a scout that was waiting at the top of the stairs. I stayed in the respawn for almost half the match, because I was too scared to poke my head out.

I' start wasting time in the final few seconds of a COD4 SaD match. I was the last one alive and tried to make it all dramatic by waiting out the clock until 0:06. I get a millimeter away from fully defusing it and my batteries die, it stopped the fuse, we lost the game, thrash-talking ensued/

When I first got COD4.... 2 years ago or so, I couldn't tell teammates from enemies, so I ended up following an enemy for around 3 minutes. Then he turned around and killed me. I got pissed off because I thought the game had friendly fire, and he just killed me for no reason.

My friends all laughed at me when I told them this. ;_;

Heh, it was in CSS. Long story short... I was one of the terrorists, I straffed in front of a doorway to toss out a grenade. The game lagged and threw the timing off, so the grenade bounced off the doorframe and back into the room that my teammates and I were holding our ground in, there were only about five of us left. The gren went off.... and killed the remainder of my teammates. What made it better was that I knew what happened and ran out of the door to escape the blast and met my enemy head on killing two of them before going out in a blaze of glory.

It was totally noobish and rad at the same time.

hahahhahah. that reminds me of this one time when my friend and I were playing in an intense match. We were playing stock and he had 1 life, 25% damage and I have on life, 150% damage. He had a bazooka and because of the way I was falling, he was gaurenteed to hit me. Unfortunately for him, he shot his bazooka right as the party ball above him opened up and five bomb-ombs fell out, exploding and killing him instantly. I therefore won the match on a fluke.

What makes this even more hilarious is that this situation happened to him TWICE. lol.

Relatively the same thing happened to me in the original Smash Bros. My friend and I were each on our last life and he had just hit me with the hammer to send me flying off into the air. As I was about to become a star and thus lose the match, a Bob-omb came from outside the screen and ran into his hammer. He died instantly, leaving me the winner despite the fact that you almost couldn't see my character anymore. Considering he so rarely beat me in that game, he got really f*cking PISSED OFF!

EDIT: Okay, upon further inspection, these two situations hardly resemble each other at all. It still reminded me of that match though.
