How would you survive if there was a mass zombie attack? Explain where you would seek shelter, how you would obtain food and water, and other nessesities. WOuld you be prepared to kill off one of your own, if they were bitten by a zombie?

Explain your plan in detail, anything that you might need to survive the attack.

Kill everyone around me and take their provisions but still keep a few alive and sell the provisions at inflated prices..until the zombies get me that is.

(oh by the way be a little more original next time and welcome to the escapist)

Has been posted in multiple other threads of the same nature. Sorry, but you should try and use the search bar to create forum topics that haven't been done so often.

I suppose I should add some sort of OT thing so, I guess hide and hope help arrives. I'm basically screwed.

Edit: Sorry If I sound like a dick, it's just that the thread has been done to death. And welcome to the Escapist.

My Plan:

Shelter: I would hide in either , A) a barn, or B) a highrise apartmentment.
Barn: Barns would usually have haylofts, I would find one with a good sized hayloft, big enough for my group. We would only put the ladder down when we are leaving, and when we are in the hayloft, we would haul it up with us. Zombies arent capable of hand-over-hand co-ordination to climb ladders, but if a zombie knocked over our ladder we would become stuck, and either have to jump or find a way of climbing down.

Apartment: The highrise would be best, elevators would be shut off, so theres no way of a zombie wondering into one and being brought to our level. If elevators are function, keys would be found for it, or cables would be cut to prevent zombies gaining entrance. The doors would have locks/chains, but large objects could be used as barricades until other means are found. There may be leftover food, tinned or otherwise, and perhaps bottles of drink, which could be used in rations until new stocks are found. Chances of electricity/plumbing working are slim.

Food/water/misc supplies: Food and water could be obtained from home, shortly before escaping to hide from the attacking undead. Once sheltered or away from the worst of the attack, food and water could be obtained from old supermarkets, but caution should be taken in case of raiders or people in hiding within the store grounds. Medical supplies could be found in the hygiene aisles, or in broken down pharmacies/doctors offices. Hospitals would also be useful, for quick meals and medical supplies. Abandoned homes can also be searched for extra supplies, and bags/containers with which to carry them.

Hygiene: Most important things, toothpaste (to prevent tooth decay and toothaches.), soap (only used MINIMUMALLY.)and toilet paper (pads, tampons if found, but not an immediate thing.) Annti fungal cream, antibacteriawash/cream/lotion, or hand sanitiser would also be useful, in case of contact with infected people or waste (toxic, otherwise.)

Misc:
-All foood wiill be rationed, as well as water/fluids, and medial gear wil be supervised by the person with the most training/knowledge.

My first course of action is to build a made shift suit of armour (metal not cardboard). The armour I will build should be metal since after all zombie were once people as in they can't bite or scratch through metal. Also it will still be light weighted enough for me to run.

First, I would get weapons, and other supplies - those is just essential. Then, I would group up with other survivors (Best Friend + Well Trained People (Not just people who play CoD and think they can use a gun)). After that, we would find a secure place, that we could easily defend.

From there, we would establish a home base, and kill the infected around us. Eventually, we would open outposts around town, and eventually, make a base in another city. We would gather more survivors, and supplies, all the while, killing the infected, as well as attempting to manufacture a cure.

Once all the infected are dead, or cured, we would re-establish society, rebuild the homes, and come out of it more unified then ever before.

stay at home and collect essential supplies upstairs. Fill every possible container with water, baths, sinks, jugs, glasses, anything. Once supplies are gathered the stairs are demolished, zombies cannot climb. A ladder wil then be used. Weapons are simple, we have a garage full of hammers, axes, crowbars, blunt and sharp objects, shouldn't be hard to throw an arsnal together. Lock all doors, close blinds and curtains and wait it out. If zombies approach, do not make a noise and wait for it to pass. Keep like this for as long as possible. When supplies run out, small savaging parties of 2-3 people will set out to close shops or abadonded homes and find anything edible. Do not look for zombies to fight, survival is essential. Only fight to avoid being followed or if cornered. Thats what I think.

I'd sit in my room listening blissfully to the Boss while waiting for the horde to take me. I'd just make my end short, relatively painless, all while jamming to Bruce fucking Springsteen.

id either stay in my house, familiar ground and all that. But if i cant be in a house i would probably take shelter in some small caves near my house, access to the caves inst tricky or dangerous unless your a zombie, so any zombies after me will fall off a cliff to the ground 60+ meters below.

So thats shelter covered.

For food i would raid houses/local supermarkets only during the day. Once the food runs out i guess i can probably find fruit on some trees in the right season. I dont think there are many larger animals to hunt for food. Every now and then i do see a dead wombat or kanagroo on the side of the road so they must be some around here somewhere. maybe go to the golf course near by for kanagroos.

If tap/bottled water runs out there is a river near the bottom of the cliff and also little creeks that flow when it rains nearby.

Defending my self would be easy i guess, i dont have a gun or even know where to get a gun around here but i have like 100 bows and a whole lot of arrows to use. maybe set up some boobie traps with some bows like with trip wires.

If no zombies attack me i could see a zombie appocolyps being fairly relaxing. collecting food and water in the morning, napping all afternoon. relaxing until the easy food and water runs out and i have to start hunting and gathering but i would guess that modern water systems would be pretty automated and store mega liters of water.

also im assuming im alone here. if there were more people then i would probably group up with them and take control of something bigger like a supermarket so we dont have to forage for a while.

i would hope a zombie apocolyps would happen like in earth abides, i go out into the country side and then come back and everyone is dead and buried, and then i take a wife raise some kids and find some other people to join us and eventually have a tribe of people to carry on humanity. a tribe that believe that anything pre apocolyps like a hammer is a tool of the gods and believe that the people who came before be it american or australian were gods. and i would have a break through moment with the younger generation when i say i am an australian. :)

any problems with my plans.

Have a sit down.
This really has been done to death.
But realistically I'd head up to the field where my horses are kept, the neigbouring field belongs to a man with a lot of guns and emergency supplies. I'd stay with him.

My zombie survival plan? Quite simple: Slap myself in the face to remind me that zombies do not and will never ever ever exist, relax and then focus on things that are actually important.

I have no plan. Zombies can not and will not ever be a problem I have to deal with.

First thing for me to do is hit up my work for as much medical supplies as I can (As a Nurse, I have access to the medical supplies at the hospital) while my friend in the army requisitions a truck, equipment, food provisions, weapons and ammo. Then we link up, fill the truck with as much as we possibly can and set a course for a forest somewhere. With some luck we'll have everything we need for the first few weeks and after that we should have gotten used enough to our new situation to start living off the land or what remains of society.

I'd barricade myself using all the "Zombie plan" threads on The Escapist.

They'd never get me.

you and the other people like you are lame. use your imagination and come up with a plan for this situation. of course no one believe zombies are real. they havent been real for 1000s of years, not since they died out in an extinction event.

Just have some fun and stop being downers
