It would definitely need music that builds up and makes me out to be the greatest final opponent the protagonist has ever had the honor of dueling.
Something epic, and by epic I mean it pumps your adrenaline through the roof as every guitar riff gets crazier and crazier so much you go insane.

You watch a tape of all the killing you've done in the game, as the mysterious voice tells you you were the final boss all along. WHAT A TWIST. GAMES ARE ART.


I don't really play that many games, someone probably did this already.

Saturday night Palsy by TISM. Then my opponents would know it just got serious. Plus I could do the stereotypical move of blending into a bunch of guys in masks so he wouldn't know which one I was, just like the band in real life.
If I had the time and effort to prepare then I would set up traps to go off in accordance with the song just to make it that little bit more epic.

This is so my boss music. Nothing tells the pathetic protagonist to stick it like this track does.

You're a god. You will pull up in front of the player and a bunch of your hoes will follow you. As you strut towards the player in a diamond studded suit, he draws his mighty bow (they always seem to choose rangers) and try to shoot you. Being the badass you are, you deflect this blow with your ring. Then you take the cane that you are holding and slam it on the ground, causing the player to be teleported to some strip club.

Then you bust through the door in an explosion of fashion and fabulousness. As soon as the doors hit the floor that songs starts to play. Your cane turns into a lighting shooting staff and it kills the player in one hit.

This should probably take place in Demons Souls 2, you have my permission.

Although I can never see myself as THE villain I would go with something like this.


The music is probably set up favoring the heroes but isn't all boss battle music usually like that at one point.
Usually Two Steps from Hell would work or something similar.

Who says an archangel has to be a hero though? Music works well so long as there is some sort of ascension for the boss IMO, or some sort of holy/unholy power behind them - I.E; fighting an archangel or a god.
Honourable mention goes to Black Blade, but it doesn't have quite the pacing for a battle until it gets to its climax. Bit too slow before that.
