My girlfriend. I love her too much as to let her stay sad...

Pretty much this. I mean...she'd be crushed if I died, and I'd be crushed if she were sad because I went and got myself a severe case of dead. I'd want to help her out, and being a ghost that only she would be able to see and talk to would be a great way to help her once she got used to the fact that I'm still around to be her guardian angel of sorts. I'd tell her not to speak to me in public though, because it would be bad if people thought that she went crazy. XD
