I've got a simple question for you all today: what is the funniest/most bizzare/most memorable incident where you've seen someone play a game in a way that it's generally not supposed to be played?

For those not in the know: Hitman is a stealth action game. The idea is that you're really supposed to try and be stealthy, like in the Splinter Cell games, and not harm anyone but the target. You do have the option to go in guns blazing: but it pays less, so most people try to go the sneaky route. Not this guy.

This guy played the game in the most crazy fashion he could.

EDIT: Also, a personal story. The first time I played Halo: Combat Evolved was at a 16-player LAN fest that our class had set up. I didn't know the controls, but by observing people around me, I saw that having a vehicle was pretty important. I quickly ran to a Warthog, got in, and tried to find one of my friends that was playing. I drove past him by accident, so I quickly threw the thing in reverse to get back to him... and ran him over.

Bringing a friend to an internet cafe to play CS for the first time, he got lucky with the default pistol and managed to go around four rounds before figuring out you could buy weapons. The best part was the people we didn't know on the LAN server swearing every time they got shot to bits.

SimCopter, you're supposed to swoop in and pick up injured people and land on hospital helipads to medevac them.

Sometimes you pick up water to blast out of a firehose to put out fires.

Instead I just firehosed pedestrians until they were injured. Then I picked them up and tried to drop on cars as they passed by. Good times.

Probably when a group of us were playing Gta4, it was one of the many statatory taxi missions, after picking up the person in question something would go cataclysmacly wrong ending up in a huge carchase and much laughing.

A Stronghold mission on Saints Row 2 instructed me to use a sniper rifle to pick off a whole bunch of Ronin from a distance. Instead, I ran right in and blew them all to pieces with my RPG7.

there's a bonus xp event on red faction multi-player called "your doing it wrong" (a gun that fixes things and causes minimal damage to players)

The first time I played Saints Row at my friends he just gave me the controller and was like "here dude have a rash, drive me to that mission"...I knew none of the controls.
Instead of driving I wildly opened fire with an uzi on a crowd of people, got out of the car, tried to change weapon...got drunk...then stoned. By now the screen was all over the place I'm being chased by cops and my friend is on the sofa dying yelling in between fits of laughter "Dude...dude fucking run it's the fuzz! Get in a car...drive drive!...don't shoot again!" Im crying laughing and having a mild spaz attack trying to get something to happen.

I never made it to the mission...nor was I allowed a go driving again.

Me and my friend were going through RE5 on professional mode. He had Rocket Laucher with umlimited ammo. At some point near the beginning he tells me theres no need to be careful of the rockets since friendly fire was turned off. After testing this theory we discovered that rockets do infact harm you even with friendly fire on.

Also;
During the boss-fight with Jill, we had a VERY hard time beating her. A different friend was round my house and told us that it is impossible to beat her by shooting the red thing on her chest because bullets do little damage and it would take way to long. He told us you had to do the QTEs. Otherwise it would take too long. We listened to him, the problem was that in professional all of Jill's attacks are instant kills and if either one of was got hit it'd be game over. Soon we got fed up of dying and just shot the red plate. It turns out my friend was wrong in everyway and shooting her is what you're supposed to do. At the end we got a C rank with 63 combined deaths]

Looking back it was pretty stupid of us.

The what? Do you mean the night vision?

The Khajit don't really have any really good stat bonuses and I just think they look stupid (But that's just me). I personally love Argonians so there's that too.

Oh this is how I always play Hitman, I suck at stealth games so I just like slaughtering people, the fact that it mostly works it what makes the game so awesome.

As to the OP at hand, my friend plays the sims in the most worrying way possible, she dosn't just torture and abuse the sims, oh no. She recreates death camp/prisons, makes a guard, makes them all go to there "cells" and occasionally tortures and burns some in the strangest fashions like repeatable making them shower until they die while telling me how there skin would be rubbed raw and every drop pure agony (the sims seem happy enough with it though). The worst part it that all the characters are recreated versions of all our friends including me. Its quite worrying really, but it is strangely funny just to watch her cackling away "death by snu-snu" as she makes two sims have gay sex until death.
