Germany is my place to go, if I want to travel to europe. Already, went there twice last year. Although, now that one of my friends moved to poland, might have to hit up Wroclaw.

Germany is a popular vacation destination for a lot of Americans. Hell, I want to go there some day... when I'm rich... and totally not fucking slaving away with no vacation time, because I'll be laid off or fired long before the required 2 year minimum of time spent with a company because my luck with jobs is complete and total shit, and always has been.

Ah well, in the next life maybe...

Dang it, I wanted to go to Germany and Italy too! -.-

If I had to pick another place to go, it would most certainly be Japan. I've heard such positive things about Japan that now I want to go there and see for myself. Let's hope that they'll treat a vegetarian nicely.

I also want to visit Ireland. I've mentioned before that I knew an Irish lass while she was studying abroad over here, and she always turned me into a puddle whenever she spoke... so that might have colored my desire to go there. :D

Actually, I would cream myself for the chance to go there. The amount of living history, structures and otherwise, is incredible.

One day....one day...

I spent my 18th birthday taking a tour of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, so that was pretty different...
I love eastern Europe and want to go back some day.

I would like to go to Japan. Mostly out of my interest in the Pacific War and Imperial Japanese Navy. They have some pretty good museums and the like. I believe they even preserved Mikasa, which was the flagship of Admiral Togo at the Battle of Tsushima.

That and I think Japan would just be an interesting place to see in general.
Yep, me too. Could care less for the Pacific War though, I wanna travel through the country on train and see the Shinto temples and the Ghibli Museum.
Bring lots of money, tell people you are Canadian, and be prepared to be taken advantage of and generally treated like absolute shit.

The trains are amazingly expensive. A can of coke will run you about $5. A good meal will cost you close to $20. I hate to break it to you, but Japan is a tad douchy...

...forgot to mention...Learn Japanese because very few people speak English AND when they do, they'll expect you to speak Japanese...
You're not really "breaking it" to me, considering there's a whole thread of people telling me nothing but good things about Japan and the Japanese. And it's no news it's an expensive country but I'm willing to save a year's worth to travel.

I was thinking Tahiti, but Germany's cool too. When I was in Europe I only had one night in Berlin (trying to get in as many cities as possible and I had to catch a train to Switzerland the next day to catch a plane the day after that), and it's something I regret because I fuckin loved the place and wished I'd gone there earlier.

Anyway, Tahiti.

I'd like to spend some time in England and/or Japan someday.

I think that'd be fun.

It's a cool country no doubt, and tons of fun things to do. But compared to other countries in Asia, it's probably the least friendly towards travelers. The younger generations are pretty much the same towards us, but it's the older business owners that can be a bit douchy.

In my week there, I spent roughly $1500, and that was doing it meagerly with the exception of saying in love motels, which still ran me about $70/night. Depending on how long you are staying, I'd bring between $2000-$4000...more towards the $4k mark if you plan on seeing more of the distant sights.

Also, if you have the time, I suggest popping over to Korea for a spell. It is MUCH cheaper, and the people are far friendlier to westerners. Just to give you a few comparative examples on price: Coke in Japan is ~$5; Coke in Korea is ~$1; A meager meal in Japan is ~$10; A meager meal in Korea is ~$1.50; A bullet train ticket from Tokyo to Fukuoka is about $300; A bullet train from Seoul to Mokpo (half the distance) is $44.

Either way, Asia is simply amazing, and you can read about it all day long, but you'll never fully understand it until you've been here...also, there are men absolutely drunk out of their minds at 11am in both countries, and that never gets old!

I wanna go right through Europe visiting as many countries as I can, mainly Italy but the Netherlands and Spain too. A lot of my family don't understand why Italy so much but I love just about everything about it, the food, the language, the buildings, the landscapes, everything. I'm going to Canada in July which I'm super excited for and I've been to the USA west coast. Might get to go on a cruise through the Carribean while I'm away too.

Well, last year I took a road-trip to Tennessee and Kentucky, I don't think I told anybody who didn't react with a "why the hell would you want to do that?"

As soon as I get the money to, I'm going to San Fransisco. I want to see the bridge and walk around the city I drove around in Midtown Madness 2!

It'd be worth it just to get a pic of the Z-flag eh?! :) And she's a museum ship anchored in Yokosuka, I think...

I know, right? Stately homes/palaces, castles, museums (as in, the museums themselves, not their content), much of central & southern Germany was genuinely a veritable melting pot for pretty much every facet of cultural influence of the Enlightenment era. Definite first stop is Potsdam, though. All the natural architecture around the Sanssouci is still preserved, which is awesome.

My sister went there (the Ghibli Museum)... and so. much. envy. They show a couple of shorts there which aren't available anywhere else, so it's worth going just for that.

I would like to go home and see friends and family again. Either that or visit my uncle in Washington. I'm not a big fan of traveling.

I'd like to spend my holiday in the D'ni caverns, New Mexico.
The bioluminescent algae makes a terrific sight by any standard!
