You're in the mood to feel like a bad ass... what game do you put on?

I like challenging games - it's a good feeling when you survive a firefight against multiple enemies in STALKER, or successfully traverse deep unexplored caverns and get back to base with an inventory full of new resources in Minecraft. When you can die in seconds, survival feels pretty damn good.

But sometimes it's fun to put on a game where you're not on the same level as your enemies, and the only way they're going to take you down is if they bring an army, and even then you'll probably kick their asses.

For me at the moment, that game would be Crysis/Crysis Warhead. Kicking in maximum speed and sprinting through the jungle, then sliding into cloak when the enemy comes in sight prior to another furiously destructive gunfight with vehicles exploding, trees being chopped down by automatic gunfire and the occassional unfortunate KPA soldier being thrown off a cliff - it's great, and feels more Predator than any actual Predator game.

Then of course there's Doom, the original one man army FPS, and a game that plays so fast it makes most current gen titles look like they're running in slow motion.

So what's your go-to game for revelling in being a bad-ass?

At the minute it's Dead Rising 2. Early on in the story, maximum level, PaddleSaw. Watching the kill count go up is pretty satisfying.
Of course that'll all change when May 6th rolls around.

It kinda feels like a cop out, but I'd have to say Devil May Cry. (Fighting the standard enemies, at least. Any illusion of badassness is lost when fighting the bosses. Damn magma-spider/scorpion-thing.)

Devil May Cry 3, nothing made me feel more badass than going toe to toe with Vergil

Well when it comes to being a one man army I think a rampage in Saints Row 2 is always fun, but if I wanna feel like a badass I go around to small towns (or full NCR camps) in New Vegas and just obliterate everyone and everything in it. Used to the same in Fallout 3 but the disc broke :(

It's nice having people accuse me of "H44444444444444444444444444XXXKS!" whenever I rock.

(For 'zample, I killed 3 scouts, 2 spies, a heavy and medic pair, two soldiers, a sniper and a pyro before dying.
As a medic.
On my own)

The Punisher by Volition and THQ released in 2005. I still have it installed on my PC just to go around being badass. A really underrated game by critics imo.

Mass Effect 2. Sentinel. You can wreck faces in combat. And in conversation? Well, we know how hilariously badass you can be.
Everything about Shepard is badass. It's hard to go wrong with this game.

Fallout 3/New Vegas.

I just assassinated Caesar with nothing but Boone and ED-E. That was only one instance of feeling like a bad ass.

Crackdown 1 or 2, on the Keys to the city type modes.
Everything within a 10 mile radius explodes.
