I've only just filled it out and I've forgotten the last question, was it "have you ever felt bad about your gaming?"
Well since the question made you angry then the answer would be yes, yes you have felt bad about your gaming, your immediately hostile reaction is typical of having your feelings questioned... next you'll feel denial, and then possibly self loathing at the realisation you have felt bad about something as frivolous as gaming.

I hope that helps Antitonic!
Armchair psychologist? There are multiple reasons to become hostile in such a situation, I for one felt patronized by the entire survey, the questions seemed leading and seem to only want negative results. Even though it appears Antitonic agrees with you, I just want to say that what you've explained is definitely not the only explanation of why someone would become upset about these questions.
Firstly, MonsterTess actually states that the questions were written by her teacher, so if they are leading its because that teacher wanted to yield a "certain result". I'm not going to berate MonsterTess for trying hard for coursework. You haven't mentioned it but others have with regards to grammar, she's in the Netherlands btwactually.

I never said that my explanation was "right", I was merely making light of the situation, if you look really hard, you'll notice that my comment to Antitonic was actually based on a Simpson's quote. So no I'm not an armchair psychologist, just some dude quoting stuff for fun internet conversations... which makes me sound like a moron since I have no original thoughts

:(
It's cool, it seems like I came off as a bit of a dick, that was not my intent, I didn't berate MonsterTess either, I understand the situation, people definitely don't need to be getting mad at her personally.

I wasn't aware you were quoting something, it's just I've noticed a lot of people feel the need to diagnose others when they don't know a lot themselves, it annoys me to a larger degree than others because I do actually have a somewhat decent background in psychology but would still never claim to understand someones behavior offhand like some others do.

Its cool, you didn't come across as a dick, just wanting clarification is all!, I do actually like being questioned myself, because then it really makes you think instead of doing reflex automated actions.

Yeah I understand why you would find that whole diagnosis rubbish people do annoying, both in real life and on the internet (have you noticed that when your ill everyone you know suddenly becomes a doctor?), its doubly annoying on the internet when people can look up wikipedia and claim to be an expert[footnote]quoting an article that was probably edited by a used car salesman from Canadda no less[/footnote] in whatever field they are arguing about without the practical experience.

I'll repeat what I said earlier, this survey was put forward by MonsterTess's proffessor and it really looks to me like it was worded to yield a certain result that they either wanted or expected of the subjects (i.e. us gamers) because their mind is already made up on this matter.

You've done psychology?, interesting, could I get some advice from you if you don't mind?, PM inbound!

I may just be pretty stupid but I can't figure it out.

I go to the URL and it asks if I want the results of the survey, I said yes and entered my email address, then I just get a page saying "Thank you for your participation!"

To hell with that.

My guess would be because it's finished maybe?

EDIT: Yep, sounds like it:

Since we are going to review the results now and start piecing together our research I will take the survey offline now.

Nothing major yet, I've been studying it for a while in college is all but feel free to ask me your question, but my response will be nothing more than an educated guess and anyone who tells you they could have more than that without extensive knowledge and study would be a blatant liar. Still I like to think I'm a fairly sensible person, so I may be of some help.
