Well, the inevitable online petition to remove Google+ from Youtube has sprung up.

I used to be able to fav videos, comment AND receive messages if someone replied to my comment all with 1 youtube account until it mysteriously stopped working because google so I had to make a new one and no longer received messages if someone replied to me.
Now I can't even comment at all without another account for something I'll never use.
This is some major bullshit.

Yeah..it's pretty bad. I have never used google+ and I don't intend to do so in the immediate future.

I had to waste like 1 hour reading through the topics to be able to comment on youtube vids after the overhaul. The problem was due to ClickScript from Noscript plugin that was interfering.

What's funny is that if you are signed into youtube and go to youtube.com/inbox you can still access the inbox, it just doesn't work.

YouTube used to be great, then it just went all to hell when Google Plus came into things. Stop trying to make Google Plus happen. It's not going to happen.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised to find out if the focus test for this was made up of five-year-olds.
Hell, Google is probably just using everyone with a Youtube account just to beta-test this pile of crap, and they shouldn't be doing that!
Granted, now comments can go past the 200-character limit, but even then, someone is going to just post 200+ characters worth of garbage.

The site is a mess. Comments appear under videos in no logical order. It is not uncommon to come across thee ramblings of an irrelevant blogger that have, for some unfathomable reason, been posted to YouTube. The raised character limit means that instead of people sending each-other private messages, even longer blocks of intellectually sterile bilge are posted on comments pages. Every time you try to post something, you are asked where you want it sent to. F**k, I don't know. Maybe the YouTube comments section? Aye, that'll work.

Oh yes, and you keep being pestered to show your real name on YouTube. Google Plus? Yeah? No, I'd rather die.

Yeah it sucks. Sitting there, taunting me with a nice readable inbox. But no, Google is right: It's much easier to read all the comments in a 200x200 pixel drop down window instead of on my full 1080p screen.

I didn't even know I was linking to Google+, I got tricked. It wouldn't let me comment until I "signed in" even though I was already signed in. I had no fucking idea it would be this bad.

Now my page has become a massive pile of fuck-up. I didn't even realise my inbox was deleted.

Now there's no way to remove Google, it's like some inoperable tumour.

I think the main reason every single change they make is hated so much is because there's really no alternative. You're forced into these things whether you like it or not.

It baffles me how the creators of a massively successful phone line, a fantastic email service, and a nigh-unparalleled online document sharing site managed to mess up a website where the groundwork was already done for the in the interest of competing with Facebook, a website they could not possibly hope to defeat.

Oh hey, good news, I found a place I could go to see all the recent comments I've gotten on my videos without getting a Google+! THE BOTTOM OF THE DASHBOARD!

I'm in no way ever notified of the comments and can only see so many and it shows my own comments as well for some reason and I can't reply to any of the comments as per usual, but it's the PERFECT place to store comment updates! Instead of, you know... THE FREAKING INBOX!!!!

+1. Please tell me how. I absolutely cannot find the inbox on Youtoogle+, and the comments have become even more useless than they already were.

I thought I did it the right way by creating a G+ page for my 'channel' so I could keep it separate from my real name etc. but all that lead to is me having two different useless G+ accounts and an F-d up Youtube.

This will actually happen eventually, but it will be the next generation that do it, not us. Then Youtube will be just another Geocities, Myspace or Bebo.
My teenage sister already uses Spotify for any listening to music instead of Youtube. It's just the blogging videos she watches on YT, and once a better alternative arises for that purpose and gains traction, that will go as well. Then someone will create a website without all the annoying ads and red tape that Youtube has for sharing random videos of anything, and Youtube will slowly deflate and fail.

I've got really annoyed recently myself with it, between the Google+ bollocks, the adverts at the beginning, middle and end of videos, the ads that don't load barring you from watching videos, and other bugs and frustrations I've encountered. I wouldn't be sad to see it go.

Is it even possible to read and respond to 500 plus comments within an hour?
