The Who originally recorded "Baba." The Who's frontman was Roger Daltry. Daltry sounds like Daughtry. A guy by this name was on American Idol. Here with "It's Not Over" is Daughtry.

"Turn the Page" is about the trials and tribulations of long road trips.

"Born to be Wild" is about how much fun they can be.

Tone Loc may not have been "Born to Be Wild," but he can tell you a little bit about getting your schwerve on.

Here's Tone Loc with "The Wild Thing," and now I have used both of Tone Loc's hits in one thread.

You may also remember him from the Ace Ventura series.

The video for "Wild Thing" stars the girl from "She's Gotta Have It" (Tracy Camilla Johns), a movie by Spike Lee. That movie came out in 1986 which happens to be the same year "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" hit the theaters. "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" made the song "Oh Yeah" by Yello famous during his long run home scene.

*edit* - Or was it just the end scene credit roll with the principle on the bus?

It was actually in the Ferrari scene.

Also, that video has some really weird background visuals.

Here's the king of weird background visuals:

The "Sledgehammer" is a modern iteration of primative tools.

So is the knife. What once was a sharpened rock now comes in several forms with many purposes.

Bryan Adams loves to use his to cut, "Cuts Like a Knife."

A knife is an advancement, but a club was the oldschool way to kill all kinds of stuff.

Ok, he's not a "Rockafeller Skank," but Jay-Z is a Rock-a-Fella artist and owner, and he and Linkin Park (a pun on a NYC Landmark) team up on "Encore/Numb."

"Werewolves of London" reminds me of "An American Werewolf in London," and the terrible remake "An American Werewolf in Paris."

The big song on that soundtrack was "Mouth," by Bush

The song Mouth was performed by Gavin Rossdale who also happened to star in Constantine as Balthazar. Keanu Reaves was the lead in Constantine as well as Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. So, for your viewing pleasure, we have...
