So apparently you are able to buy movies on YouTube. While flicking through the latest uploads from my favorite channels, I noticed the word 'purchase' with a green tag. So I clicked it and I was horrified.

Apparently, while my internet was down I somehow purchased Michael Bay's war porn of Transformers, specifically the movie I would never bother seeing. The third one. Has this happened to anyone else?

You may have been given it for free. It came free with the Nexus 7, so I guess it's just their launch title.

You're a real genius you are.
Not even thinking twice and you click the purchase button.
But yes it's an option to watch full length movies on youtube here's an example [link]http://www.youtube.com/movie?v=I013Or5jKkQ&feature=mv_sr[/link] a $6 AUD movie on youtube.
Just be more cautious from now on.

Unless Google/YouTube already has your credit card information, you didn't buy anything. So first ask yourself: Have you given Google/YouTube any sort of credit card information they can actually use?

If not, as Stasisesque said, chances are it was just a free sample. If they do have your information...well why the fuck did you give them that info when you had no intention of buying anything in the first place?

Fair enough with the free samples, but seriously, a Michael Bay film?!
Think about it, would you spend money on it? How else would they push it?

To be fair, once you give them the information for one thing, Google has a nasty trend of linking it with EVERYTHING.

I just got a Galaxy, and they will only allow you to buy apps with their google wallet. Not saying that happened here, but it's a possibility.

True, but I feel so violated by this movie. Anything else would've been better.

Barney the Dinosaur would've been better.

And the Moral of the story is...

NEVER CLICK SOMETHING UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN!

No I did not realise you buy movies off youtube. Thank you for your cautionary tale.

Those films cum green, I doubt they need to 'push it' at all.

I don't get it, is this a thread about YouTube or Transformers?
Neither. A Person Was Confused By A Thing, and made a thread on a gaming forum about it.

"This movie is not available in your country."

WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN.

It's a digital file! You literally have NO excuse to not make it available worldwide! You are just alienating a huge part of people who would otherwise have been willing to GIVE YOU MONEY. What the hell man. I do not applaud piracy, but is that the only way to easily get movies these days? I hope not.

It has to do with copyright law, basically Youtube is not authorized by the people who own the copyright in your country to sell it

Except you may not own the rights in all regions, because this is a real thing that happens in the real world.
