This is my first post and whatever, hey everyone.

I just wanted to hear everyones thoughts on youtube.
If you've ever read the comments, you know what I'm talking about.
The immaturity of like 60% of everyone who goes on youtube becomes apparent with the incredibly not funny remarks based on the likes and dislikes bars, Justin Beiber, not funny Chuck Norris jokes. It's insane.
I like to think they are uneducated stupid Americans secretly in my head. <But don't get angry at me for that, it's just my deluded vision.
But anyways, it shows the unintelligence of people very clearly when they post a comment like "linken park gay who lisen?" Seriously?

And that alone is why I've been spending more times on the videos of the Escapist.

What are your angry thoughts on this?

Yeah, Youtube comments are kind of a grab bag. It's usually stupid shit that I can't even comprehend, but occasionally it's something REALLY random, like a debate about religion on a video about a cat sneezing.

Beyond that, I like Youtube. Good time waster.

Agreed. Really hate the new main menu. I like to see all my recent subscription uploads in one box, not spread out all over the fucking place. Especially when you have dozens of them.

But Youtube comments are for the most part to be ignored. You might get a few sensible ones, but I'd say at least 90% are utter trash.

Meh, some comments are stupid, but the Justin Beiber ones etc are just to be ignored. Comments on music videos nowadays are 99% arguing about what genre the band are or something; that really pisses me off.

Also...just generally stupid comments get on my nerves. At the end of the day, it's no so much Youtube as it is modern society. It's tragic really.

Ah well, as long as the general public keep away from havens such as the Escapist, all is well.

Youtube comments are the cesspool of the internet. Honestly.

Youtube itself, however, is pretty legit.

Most of the comments there are just made for the lulz, but I do find a few that actually make me chuckle. One thing I'm starting to hate is that "XX people accidentally pressed the dislike button" fad. I actually miss the stars rating system.

I still go on the comments section though, oh how I love that place. There are some smart people too, ironically I found them by being a dumbass.

I posted on 'Baby' something positive about Justin Bieber and got a reply saying "Dude, could you be more retarded." Mmmhmm

It's Youtube. Everyone knows about it, almost everyone has an account on it and everyone has different tastes. Then everyone starts trolling because, hey, it's the internet and it's not as if these people know me.

Also, it's not just English speakers/Americans...everyone is doing it as if the poor site inspires to such things.

I mostly just don't read comments since I don't have an account and I only go there to listen to whatever music is on my head. I think everyone misses the stars rating.

youtube is the largest anonymous online community that I can think of, and as a result, includes most assholes.

When it comes to comments, lack of intelligence isn't what brings them down, it's being a jerk to other people.

Yeah, youtube is full of morons, everybody knows that. It's big, on the internet and has cats, justin bieber and dumbasses, what do you expect? But what's your point? Not much discussion value here...

I miss the time when I could hide the comments section. YouTube viewers need to realize that ONE of the most mature things you can do with a comments section is to not use it.

I'm American and I seem to think most Americans think other Americans are stupid.
Seriously, stupidity is not limited by nationality and a nation's intelligence is not set by its leaders. Which I believe is the basis of the generality that is being accepted at this time.

I really do not bother to look at the comments. I am there to hopefully watch something semi-entertaining not to read, chat or debate with the average comment poster on the site.
