I'm not sure why the people of Youtube are so dedicated to fixing what isn't broken, and by fixing I mostly mean fucking up. I don't think I've ever heard of someone actually appreciating a major Youtube update.

I highly doubt I'd still use Youtube if it weren't where the majority of my favorite content producers upload all their stuff. Even it's video player, the one thing I really liked it for, is incredibly unstable.

I'm still getting that bug where you find out that you've been randomly unsubscribed from a channel you liked.

Saying that, my least favourite aspect of Youtube at the moment, is the way they tend to only show videos from the channel you're watching right now and other channel's you're subscribed to in the sidebar. Because I've already seen those videos exist, that's why I subscribed to them. I remember how easy it used to be to hop from youtube video to youtube video, surfing for hours on end. Now I watch the video I wanted to watch and nothing else because they never actually show me new videos.

For example, if I click on the RollPlay Week 14 part 4 of JP's DnD Let's Play, the suggested videos are all old RollPlay videos. I'm watching week 14 part 4 youtube, I don't need to be told that Week 13 part 6 exists. I'd quite like to be shown a video I didn't know about thank you

My image of a Google designer is that of someone going through a simply pathetic middle age crisis, enforcing ridiculous changes on their environment for its own sake, simply to feel younger and in motion.

It clashes hilariously of the image that Google wants to project about themselves; attractive, generic young people in vague office settings doing things.

Listen here, Google. You will never be as popular as Facebook. Your precious little baby+ is never ever going to be the New Facebook.

Pack it in.
