Yeah probably. I empathised with Light most of the way through Deathnote except for a few decisions like Raye Penbar's wife and his news reporter lady friend whose name evades me... Those were truly evil...

Dammit, I wanna watch the series again now...

I personally would not want to use it, however I would attempt to make a profit from my ownership of it.

There is no one I want to be killed, nor do I believe I have the right to kill someone anyway, but I will gladly do what is essentially loaning the notebook to someone. For a significant price, I will let someone borrow it and use it however they wish, though it would of course, still be in my ownership. That way, it's not my responsibility who gets killed, becuase I'm not the one killing, but I can make a hell of a lot of money off it.

Step 1: write a script to get all names from Facebook, phonebooks and all other available databases like that.
Step 2: Write them all down in the notebook
Step 3: Embrace the Chaos.
Step 4: Burn the thing once i get bored.

Death Note how to use it Page 2, paragraph three states "The human who uses this note can neither go to Heaven nor Hell" so I would immediatly burn the notebook out of both morality and self preservation.

Big Death Note fan, need to re buy the movies as I gave them to a friend for her birthday but got everything (minus ds games) apart from them. I wanted Light to win even though I knew how messed up he was, not sure why.

Yes, but only on those that had committed or facilitated murder. And only sparingly. Never on anyone I know, and every name written would be done days after the news coverage of the killer.

Essentially, I'd use it so little that it would never be apparent that it had been used at all, and I'd have one bored-ass shinigami keeping me company

Extensively, yes. I would aim it at bad people in high places, and communicate with the public as discreetly as possible.

I'd just keep it around (hidden, duh) so I could have an invisible buddy to talk to, and get test answers for me :p.

And so I could deliver a message to L in case a Kira ever came up, telling him that it's likely kira is using a death note.

So yeah, I'd be neutral good, like I usually am.
