it is based around tributes but I hate one or two tuners in it so I added some synchros they won't to any harm because they are in the extra deck meaning that I don't get a dead draw.Emissary Laito said:Do you want to use synchros or tribute monsters?nuba km said:I know my smaller monsters are important it's just i am not sure what heavy hitters should be in my deck so that is why I am asking people (one time a made a level 3 and lower deck it also kicked ass but not nearly as much as my beatdown swarm deck.
You can use both, but generally the focus will be on one or the other, as that yields better results.
This sort of thing always reminds me of just how odd Frogarch decks really are.Madkipz said:-snip-

I thinned it down to 51Emissary Laito said:True, just nice to have a focus.nuba km said:it is based around tributes but I hate one or two tuners in it so I added some synchros they won't to any harm because they are in the extra deck meaning that I don't get a dead draw.
And you mentioned having 60 cards.
You should only have 40 in your main deck really, in order to speed it up.
Even 41 can prove to be too many.
so you build you deck around flexible combos meaning they feel to well in most situations.InnerRebellion said:I love that game for some inexplicable reason. Still too many really.nuba km said:I thinned it down to 51

well I think how many cards should be in a deck is really a personal thing but i do agree less is generally betterEmissary Laito said:Still too many really.nuba km said:I thinned it down to 51
45 would be the maximum I'd go to.
the reason they are over rated is because most people who use them only use them because of their attack but I also take effect into consideration when picking my monsters and another reason is because normally they are a hassle to get on the field and not worth the cost but my deck is designed so they cost me close to nothing.Daffy F said:Where's the cyberdragon?
Honestly, I think super-overpowered shite with high attack is overrated. My deck has nothing with more than 2400 attack in it. (Unless you count I.F.L.), but then again, my deck is outdated. It does work well though, and was very tournament-standard about 2 years ago. Haven't played much since then though.
Well yeah, but clever traps and weaker monsters with better effects tend to beat powerhouses. I don't know dude, but my deck is pretty formidable, and the two monsters with the highest attack are Mobuis and Jinzo, both of which are really good, but only have 2400 attack each.nuba km said:the reason they are over rated is because most people who use them only use them because of their attack but I also take effect into consideration when picking my monsters and another reason is because normally they are a hassle to get on the field and not worth the cost but my deck is designed so they cost me close to nothing.
I agree with the fact that low level monsters tend to have effects to get rid of powerhouses same with traps (I have used this every time my friend uses a powerhouse but they only tend to work at taking out one or two powerhouses at a time but what are you going to to against a tyrant dragon, flegrand dragon with 4400 attack and a ultimate tyrano who has the effect that when attacking a defence position monster and destroys inflict the difference in attack and defence to the opponent as well as 3400 attack and when he destroys a monster half of it's attack is inflicted to you in damage as well as a trap card which lets me negate and destroy a cards that would destroy 1 or more of my monsters (this situation is quite common for me to inflict against my opponent). I have many other combinations like this as well as several low level monsters with good effects (my high level monsters also have good effects which don't include attacking).Daffy F said:Well yeah, but clever traps and weaker monsters with better effects tend to beat powerhouses. I use mage power as well very good card and I under stand about not using strong monsters because I normally use swarm decks so I understand how weak monsters can stop and opponent in his tracks. now I just decided to remake something I know works well and combines my love for the strong powerhouse and my love of swarming (just saying in any game I can summon allies I go for allies and over power my opponent by numbers just guess what my favourite starcraft race isDaffy F said:Dude, try no to text-wallnuba km said:I agree with the fact that low level monsters tend to have effects to get rid of powerhouses same with traps (I have used this every time my friend uses a powerhouse but they only tend to work at taking out one or two powerhouses at a time but what are you going to to against a tyrant dragon, flegrand dragon with 4400 attack and a ultimate tyrano who has the effect that when attacking a defence position monster and destroys inflict the difference in attack and defence to the opponent as well as 3400 attack and when he destroys a monster half of it's attack is inflicted to you in damage as well as a trap card which lets me negate and destroy a cards that would destroy 1 or more of my monsters (this situation is quite common for me to inflict against my opponent). But yeah, by and large I agree, but high attack has never really appealed to me. If high attacking power is required, then I tend to use United we stand or Mage power to beef something specific up, so I can destroy. (I also run royal decree as well as Jinzo, just to make sure.)
If you want ;-]InnerRebellion said:Is that a challenge, my friend? Haha.

To be honest, this probably wouldn't last long at all against a competitive player.-vague decklist-
How long does it take you to get that set-up out may I ask?I agree with the fact that low level monsters tend to have effects to get rid of powerhouses same with traps (I have used this every time my friend uses a powerhouse but they only tend to work at taking out one or two powerhouses at a time but what are you going to to against a tyrant dragon, flegrand dragon with 4400 attack and a ultimate tyrano who has the effect that when attacking a defence position monster and destroys inflict the difference in attack and defence to the opponent as well as 3400 attack and when he destroys a monster half of it's attack is inflicted to you in damage as well as a trap card which lets me negate and destroy a cards that would destroy 1 or more of my monsters (this situation is quite common for me to inflict against my opponent).

Running more then 40 cards in a competitive environment is asking for trouble really.
You'll struggle with it.
If you only play casually, which you seem to, it's fine, but that doesn't mean you cant maximise your chances of winning.

Maybe just against friends though, depending on how good your friends are.

It sounds pretty inconsistent to me.
Also, I summon Mist Wurm.
There.
All your hard work gone ;-]
You should get United we Stand. They're rare, but very good. I like mine. My favorite move with it is to call Scapegoat, and use United on one of them. 4000 attack goat token FTW!nuba km said:I use mage power as well very good card and I under stand about not using strong monsters because I normally use swarm decks so I understand how weak monsters can stop and opponent in his tracks. now I just decided to remake something I know works well and combines my love for the strong powerhouse and my love of swarming (just saying in any game I can summon allies I go for allies and over power my opponent by numbers just guess what my favourite starcraft race is)
