"...I'm confused as to whats with all the scales and stuff" Karen replied. Quinn nodded. "Well, it has to have something to do with your gauntlet right? I mean; what else could it be?" Quinn said, trying to be helpful. Looking around, it appeared that death didn't just transform people into dragons; assuming the small group qualified as normal.

"But I'm more worried about those black spots you've got, it can't mean anything good" Karen continued. Quinn paled at the description. She was right; it couldn't be anything good. "Well... if the gauntlet caused you to transform, maybe..." she said, thinking it through. "My neck huh... it's gotta be.". With that, Quinn floated down toward her body. It had to be the Rosary.

"Great. So its doing something to my soul." she muttered to herself with a sigh before floating back up to Karen. "That can not feel good" Karen added, pointing at Quinn's body. "I... don't want to think about what I'm gonna feel like tomorrow." she said. Hopefully she hadn't sprained anything.

Turning back to Karen, she spoke up. "I guess as long as you're okay with the... scale thing, I'll survive some blotches." Spinning around, she called out to the others. "Is everyone okay... aside from the out of your body thing I mean?"

Karen thought about that for a moment "Yeah, I guess that could explain it, and it's not like anyone's ever come back to tell us what it does to the soul." she said, as she looked at her hands. "It's still very strange ya know?" she added as Quinn descended to look at her body, Karen taking the moment to think and let the logical explanation for the spots come to her "Here's hoping that things get resolved sooner rather then later so we can get that cursed bit of jewelery away from you and ether sealed away or destroyed along with the demon inside it" Karen's tone was one of concern, she didn't have many friends she could just be her self with and she didn't wanna lose one, especially not to some stupid demon.

Brian awoke, or well, he thought he awoke, to find himself standing over his body. "Ugh...god, I hate these dreams..." He then tried to wake himself up, opening and closing his eyes as he usually did when he realized he was dreaming, but nothing happened. "So wait..am I-?" It was then he noticed that the other students in his class appeared to be in the some situation...though some of them looked differently.

"This has to be a dream...I mean, I was-I mean, I am, asleep, aren't I?" Brian closed his eyes again as he started an internal argument as to whether or not this was actually happening, or a figment of his overactive imagination. "If only I had a coin..."

"Here's hoping that things get resolved sooner rather then later so we can get that cursed bit of jewelery away from you and ether sealed away or destroyed along with the demon inside it" Karen said. Quinn smiled; it was nice to have someone care.

"I second that." she offered, smile still apparent. "But for now, lets first see what Ms. Botanya has planned. Not much sense worrying about something we can't yet control." she said, floating toward the grimm reaper. "-or dead bodies for that matter." she added as an afterthought and a laugh; it was rare that "dead bodies" weren't the top concern in life.

"I second that, but for now, lets first see what Ms. Botanya has planned. Not much sense worrying about something we can't yet control." Quinn replied, smiling a little from Karen's concern for her

"Yeah, not much else was can do for now I guess" Karen replied as she floated along side Quinn, though giggled a little at 'Ms Botanya', she found that amusing for some reason, but as she'd stated, there wasn't much any of them could do besides wait for Botan to explain her self, which she hoped was soon. Though, there was one other concern Karen had. "So ... how do I look? I can't see everything at once, does it all look ok or no?"

Quinn stared at her for a moment. Truthfully, she was a terrible judge of fashion so she could hardly comment on that element of it. Her hands had been replaced by silver-white scaled claws. Likewise, her legs had become scaled. Her head had grown several large horns and a pair of wings had been burst from her back. Finally, a long tail waved loosely out from under her skirt.

Quinn floated around Karen to get the full view. On the plus side, her clothing seemed to have re-tailored itself to her new limbs. Quinn thought that was very convenient, but tried not to think about how clothing managed to appear in the spirit world. Eventually she made her way back to around. "Well I think you look just perfect, though now I have a dozen more questions for Ms. Botanya." she said, smiling.

"Well I think you look just perfect, though now I have a dozen more questions for Ms. Botanya." Quinn finally said after giving Karen a good looking over.

"Like why we're not naked? Cause that's kinda bugging me a little to" Karen said "But thank you for say I look alright, I know it's an odd thing to worry about all things considered, but I couldn't help it with the severity of the changes" Karen paused for a moment "Sorry if it makes me seem vain" shed added, now feeling kind silly for even asking how she looked.

"...Sorry if it makes me seem vain" Karen said. Quinn waved her hand loosely in the air. "No big." Quinn replied immediately; she'd probably be doing the same if she awoke with scales covering her body. Well, probably not - she didn't care much about her appearance given the amount of time she'd spent covered in mud in the tombs of forgotten people, but she could hardly blame Karen.

For a moment, she wondered if Botan had guided all those forgotten kings and princes and priests to the afterlife and their toddler god. Then she pushed the thought aside; if Botan had, Quinn doubted she'd have been able to retain her particular personality. "Maybe there are multiple reapers and we just got this year's model or something." she thought; deciding not to share that particular thought with their reaper guide.

Shiro was, for the most part, not participating in the conversation going on because while the talking was going on, he was more-inclined to quietly do the testing. This involved putting his hand through alot of things, including the bodies of his fellow classmates. Then, as he looked closely, he noticed something else that was quite important. He checked the others first, just to be certain, and then actually managed to hover up so that he was slightly above everyone else and clearing his throat.

"I just want to point out that we're...not really dead. I checked carefully and it looks like some kind of coma. There's still very slight movement, you see, so..."

He looked around, then sighed.

"Okay, it's still crappy news, but it's better than nothing, isn't it?"

Gail floated around, spinning upside-down and rightside-up to make things interesting. She still didn't have a handle on moving around as a ghost but she could at least push herself in a direction...or into a spin as it would seem.

"Wee. Brain, i doubt that this is a dream...if it is, then whoever is having it, please wake up."

She couldn't enjoy this opportunity as much as she normally would due to her having to die to get to this stage. At least there was hope though with Shiro announcing that they may not actually be dead...yippy? She still didn't understand how she could be alive and yet have her soul out of her body...maybe she died for a second, or however long it took the soul to hit the ejector seat on the body, before she spontaneously came back to life? No, that's stupid...at this point she gave up, she didn't understand being a ghost and she was hoping that she wouldn't need to for a while longer. She floated over her body, trying to look for vital signs...it would help if she knew what she was looking for.

She looked over to Shiro and said, "Ok. Whatever you say. At least it means that we may get our bodies back..."
