I'm not sure if this goes here, but it's a game, so what the hell....

Anyways, calling all Yugioh players on the Escapist!

I've been playing Yugioh for about a month and a half, and I've gotten pretty good.

I've got a standard Dragunity Deck, and I'm building a swarming Plant deck. My question however, is this; can anyone recommend a deck type/archetype for me for my next deck? I'm at a loss as to what I want to build.

My regular opponents are 2 Zombies, Aliens, Burn, Ojamas, Macro, Frognarch and Speed Synchro if this helps.

I use chain burn. I can't really recommend a deck type, I've only started playing again after a break of two years.

That really depends on your budget. You might find more people to help you with this on Pojo.com, under the YGO section.

I would assume the Escapist is more video games rather then card games on motorcycles!

I play a deck centered around Gren Maju and Golden Homunculus... It always confuses the hell out of people when they see my whole deck out of play then I summon a 3-star with 5 digit attack points XD Or I place it face down as a figgin' nuclear land mine. I also have the thing stacked to the brim with life point building traps and what not.

My other deck is based around high level warrior types, it unoriginal and boring but I find it a blast to play.

I used to play a lot a long time ago but I took a break for a few years and only recently started playing again.

I stopped playing when they limited Gladiator Beast Bestiari. Before that, I played a Crystal Beast deck. The first time I played it, it was literally like magic (all my previous decks were just throw-a-bunch-of-cards-together beatdown decks. To have my cards work so well with each other was just amazing.)

I've played since the game first hit the U.S., but I don't really buy many cards these days. My brother does so I trade with him to get some of the newer stuff. I use a Quickdraw Plant deck, but it's not tournament tier or anything. I mostly just love the newer plant monsters. Black Rose Dragon and Splendid Rose are two of my favorites.

Shhh.. I want to see if people start talking about Magic the Gathering as well. Maybe even throw a little Pokemon out there.

Build a "Cheeseball" deck, built on flip effects, Spirit monsters (Yaksha [http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Yaksha])...anything that would make your opponent regret attacking or removing your cards.

Another good option, seeing as you probably have a bunch of plant cards, is to attempt to build a Cactus Fighter OTK. Look up the effects of "Cactus Fighter [http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Cactus_Fighter]" and "All Out Attacks [http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/All-Out_Attacks]", and I'm pretty sure you'll be able to figure it out from there.

There are many decks you could make, but I'm just suggesting two that could help you against all of your listed opponent's decks. Good luck!

Umm, if you've already got a plant swarm deck you might wanna look into a plant-zombie-debris-chaos deck that just topped the last YCS. Though all of the top decks are very expensive, you seem to have most of the cards.

for the decklist, go to konami's website, access the yugioh portion of the site, and go to "event coverage" and you should find it under "Top 32 Decklists" from YCS Orlando.

I just have like 3 cards for it :S

also if you have the full dragunity strategy you're a champ. considering it involves $20 and $33 dollar cards, respectively.

Anyway, try making your own thing up, I've built a lot of fun decks that way. It's actually how I stumbled upon the new insect strategy, which is hilariously fun to play.

As far as the Dragunities go, I need triple Phalanx and three of the synchros and that deck is done

And I can get each and every one for about £3 and a half decent trade.

I do not have any real good trading networks with Yugioh, so I'm basically stuck with what I can buy.

Luckily, I know someone that can basically get me anything; he knows a metric fuck-ton of other players. Usually, if I give him anything that majorly benifits him when I pull well, he gets me beasties and whatnot
