The thing's too damn slow in doing anything

Huh? We must have completely different consoles because I can turn on my Wii U and be actually playing a game of mario kart quicker than my PS4 reaches the main menu.

Oh sure, if the disc is in the drive and you want to play that game, and you have no other family members with accounts it will start that game imminently. But if you want to do anything else, like say check the settings or check out the eshop, it takes forever to load. The last time I had to wait that long for a dialogue screen to open, I was playing Sonic 2006.

I like some ambition, but that's a hefty order. I just hope they stop trying to repeat Ocarina of Time.

From what i've heard, it's more open world than other Zelda games.

Well they said the same thing about skyward sword. More open world and ultimate zelda game so I'm a bit of a skeptic so far. Needs more gameplay trailers.

OT: Isn't it pretty much standard practice to announce a game then immediately delay it these days anyway?

Honestly it's for the best. If not for the potential of having a better looking game, but also because it means that the other three big Wii u games coming out this half of the year- Splatoon, Starfox, and XenoBlade X will have a lot of breathing room.
