Great review Yahtzee, like always.

To Pumpkin_Eater:

It's because of people like you racial jokes are such a taboo. You honestly wouldn't give a crap wether or not someone says something about a big group in society with the intent of trampling on their soul? How sick are you?

It really annoys me that people like Yahtzee can't make any good racial jokes like the one he used in the video without being deemed racist because of people like Pumpkin_Eater and everyone else in this thread who are fapping to the idea of Yahtzee making a ni**** joke.

I honestly can't add on to this. The point of BotS, the character (I have a seething hatred for 50 Cent) and all the WTF moments in the plot.

And then ending was the cherry on top. Well done.

the game sucks, 50 cent can go jump in a lake and take a nice, deep breath underwater, and the entire hip hop genre is pure garbage!

the review was quite funny.

HAY GIZE. I have an idea! Let's keep retyping the ending because we think it's funny!

We all heard it.

Yes, it was funny.

No, it isn't absolutely necessary to state your belief that this is true by saying it again. And again. And again.

You know, I come on this site to get a few laughs every wednesday, and yahtzee always delivers. And for a long time I took his advice on games very seriously, and avoided the titles he didn't like. But recently I've been playing some of the games he disliked (fable 2 and fear 2, notably) and I've realized that he's wrong very, very often. He blasts games for being basically all the same, but many of the titles he dislikes actually have a lot of fresh, new content to offer. I find that by listening to him, I miss some of the best games out there.

It seems my mistake was taking his advice seriously. I'm a little embarrassed that it took me this long to realize this, but these segments are not a serious review. Yahtzee is funny, but he's not really a reviewer. A reviewer has to come from an objective angle as much as possible, and yahtzee can't do that because he is obligated to be funny. And as he's mentioned, it's not funny to like a game. And his reviews ARE funny, but that's mainly because he spends the whole time picking the game in question apart. Thus all objectivity goes out the window, making these segments more akin to parody than review.

I don't know why I'm posting this, really. Guess I just had to get that out of my head.
You sir, have just won the thread. You can exchange it for some internets.

Welcome to the Escapist!

I agree on so many points. The fact that the entire purpose of the game is to get a pointless artifact makes it hard to play, because there is no real goal.

All you can expect is poor voice acting and cut scenes directed by 50 Cent himself to make him the focal of awesome. As was the purpose of his last game, which involved the worst humour and 50 Cent having a laugh at the use of 69 in a mobile phone's PIN, as if that teet still produced milk.

Actually if you pay attention He makes a jab at Killzone 2 in this one that implies that it is bad and some other things about the game which aren't true and is obvious if you actually play the game. Which I have. It was great. So was Eat Lead and a few others I have played recently. But point blank if there are untrue comments made in that nature (I bashed G4 comments on EatLead on a different forum) then it will be bashed. The comment was uneducated and crap. Yahtzee can do better and shouldn't sink to things like that. I love when He jokes about games when I like them and when I don't. But comments like that just ... ah no, unacceptable.

And yes I have it in the right thread.

Reviews are never objective - I believe Yahtzee made that point himself in the mailbag video.

And although I have enjoyed games that Yahtzee has ragged on (I personally liked The World Ends With You quite a bit even though I'm not a typical JRPG fan) I've also found that virtually all his points are valid.

The best approach to using his reviews 'seriously' is, instead of noting how badly he's ragging on the game, note how much what he's ragging on pisses you off. If you liked Fable 1, then you'll probably like Fable 2 - like he says, it's more of an upgrade than a sequel.

In case you haven't noticed, there's very few reviews he's ended on a clearly positive note. Do you really think he hates 99% of the games released?

The last bit of this latest ZP video crossed the line, IMHO. It was just something you shouldn't really joke about.
Yeah, definitely. There is no way in hell someone who is not a black person, should even be allowed to allude to the word ******. Black people however, are not barred what so ever and are not looked down upon using the word.

Ah, a good old fashion fakey uproar-ignitor. Classic.

When is M.C. Hammer going to release HammerTime: Survival in the 'Burb?

Well if you think THAT'S the case then you should definately never watch Blazing Saddles then.

Great review as always, especially the end where Yahtzee delivers some real truth. Hint: It's not racist if it's true(sorry if that pisses off the PC police). Too bad we couldn't have more people like Yahtzee in the States, then maybe we would've gotten McCain instead of that lazy ni-
