loved arkham asylum, not quite my game of the year but damn close; just wondered why you didn't want to take another fun potshot at Uncharted 2 (deservedly so since its been on everybody else's GOTY when its not THAT special)

Happy New Year.

I liked the way he said that.

Oh, and even though I don't live in the land down under, screw Michael Atkinson.

This year, we make contact!

I will agree that Arkham Asylum was the only good game of the year (as it was the only non-remake, non-sequel that was even worth it)

Congratulations on your new IPhone and Happy New Year to you as well.

I was hoping for Borderlands to win geniunely good game.... I've had no end of fun with it.
Yes, but he hasn't reviewed that one yet, so either he has no interest in it, which i kind of doubt since it's getting so much attention, or he's been screwed over by release dates again. Personally I suspect the second one.

Well that was a bit obvious considering Yahtzee's taste, however you have to give him credit for not doing what everyone else in the world did by giving Uncharted 2, and Modern warfare 2 the game of the year award. Now to meander away from that subject. Shouldn't there be an award for "least laziest video game developer"?

I don't even have a cellphone at the moment. ;P

At any rate, the one thing that came to mind when I saw this was that I thought Yahtzee actually liked the old school Resident Evil/Survival Horror stuff. Commenting about how there "were no survival horror games" and such because the current ones like Resident Evil 4-5 and "Slinet Hill Homecoming", and "Dead Space" were just action games with horror themed graphics.

Sometimes he seems consistant, sometimes very contridictory. Of course my memory isn't the best.

Still, I really can't dispute Arkham Asylum, it was one of the best games made IMO, and I even said so in my rather poorly received yearly commentary on the review forums.

To date my biggest regret of the year is that while predictable in response, Yahtzee was not made to review "Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2". For obvious reasons I think that would turn out to be the nastiest review of all, starting with the title. :p

Unskippable comes out on Mondays. Ever consider watching that? It's pretty cool.

Congratulatuions to the winners, except for Yahtzee's comments on Michael Atkinson. He deserved MUCH more hate.

When I saw this video, there were 3 responses, when I clocked on it there were 26 and when I responded there were 41. I'm just wondering how many users watched the video then posted.

Oh well. Yes 2009 was hardly the best year in gaming but hey we got a good Batman game...
