Yay Yahtzee, you are my favourite reviewer just for how brutally unforgiving you are, so many others are ass-kissers, bending over to advertising, pushy PR and worst of all, rabid fan boys. I don't always agree with the final verdict, but you aren't afraid of pointing out shit gameplay mechanics if they are there.

It would be great if he got a hold of Little Big Planet, which compared to the likes of Mario Galaxy or Garry's mod, I would really like to hear from him if it is worth the hype it has been getting.

Very funny. One of those videos that builds itself up as a typical bitter review, then kicks you in the gut with hilarity when you're starting to get comfortable.

I've been hoping for a CAD style Pure Pwnage bashing after they did that little bit on you a few episodes back. Do it.

When I try to open the video, this thing appears:

404 Error: File Not Found

This page does not exist - the link you followed may be broken or out of date. Please check the menu above for the content that you're looking for.

Does it happen only to me?
Remain calm. All those people who wait for its arrival at 5pm GMT (I think it is) and keep pressing Reload on their browsers are effectively creating a Denial of Service attack on The Escapist website, this will affect the forums too. I just waited until after 6pm to check it out.

Very well observed and humorous as always Mr Croshaw.

I keep getting a 404 error as well. Is there something wrong with the website?
Sorry, we ran into some caching issues for a bit. But I leveraged the power of the megaramz to make everything faster then ever and at almost a third of the load.

But did you read the amount of comments that said "Yay! No More Adverts!" from about three weeks ago?

And then we have some at the start and at the end for something that quite a lot of us wouldn't want to, or can't play?
It's an advert inside a ZP video. I imagine people are willing to pay a pretty penny for that kind of publicity. Do you really think they'd be happy to ignore that opportunity over a few negative complaints?

Accurate as hell review, and that postal sorting mini-game does indeed exist, albeit in Wind Waker rather than any Sims dross.

i played through it a few times and really feel fable 1 was much better. For example, the immersion in fable 2 was attrocious: in fable one, i felt like Albein (however you spell it) was one large connected continent. In fable 2, i quick traveled every such that i had no idea where anything else was in relation to any other region (with the obvious exception of all the regions with the world "bower" in front of it). I feel this is a downgrade from fable 1.

The story was less enthrawling and shorter, the world was much less immersive and connected, the economics engine i broke within 20 minutes so money wasn't an issue throughout the entire game, there is not character customization comaparably, and the inventory management system needs some serious work to be alittle faster to use. I'll throw in the spell system there two even though i give them credit for trying to take it a different route because every single melee battle could easily won with the time control on the first level and a half decent sword.

Good review as always.

Yes, Yahtzee, the game itself is a basic upgrade to Fable, but it's a GOOD upgrade. I thought it was awesome just because I'm one of those guys who loves one-shot flintlock pistols and swashbuckling. I'll admit that the ending was anticlimactic, but it was extremely satisfying. I'll also say that the game falls into a bottomless pit of shitty intellectualism midway through, but taking out baddies with cutlass and musket more than made up for it.

Ah... A sequel to the Fable review I've permanently synced to my iPod so I can watch it whenever I want. I do miss the "CHOICES!" bit from the first one, I must say.

Overall, I enjoyed this review, but I usually do so that's nothing new. Hooray Yahtzee spicing up my Wednesdays!

Had to wait to see the an hour to see the video (OMG!) anyway, felt phoned in for me, the review of Dead Space last week was charged and witty, but I think Yahtezee did this one against his best wishes. I think he should just give Molyneux a call and chew him out for a good ten minutes. On that note, cough, *fallout 3* cough.

Everything sounded about right to me. Honestly, it's a fine game, a good distraction, but everytime I hear someone gab on about how great of an improvement it is, I just start thinking that I want to go back and play the first one. Yahtzee, like always, is right on all accounts.

While it's fresh in my head, is it really so bad to make combat a little more intuitive and controlled then one damn button? Sure, it sets up for easy multi-style combos, but the magic still feels gimped to me.

Really? I felt that the Dead Space review was one of the more mundane reviews he's done, while this review is one of the more entertaining videos. Well, the line at the end really got me.

Another US$60 I don't have to spend. Seems that Fable suffers from the same NPC plague as Oblivion in that all of them look, sound, and act exactly the same.

Bravo.

You trust this guy's reviews?

He may say bad stuff about games and on some occasion they might be right but he over exaggerates stuff to the point of hilarity and says everything is bad! (except some good games and one bad one (COD 4))

I must say, this is the funniest ZP in ages. I had to consciously stop myself from laughing since, y'know, it's currently six bloody am.

Fable 2 was heavily flawed if there's anyone defending it. Yeah, it had some upsides, and overall it was a lot of fun if you're into the whole RPg type thing (and by that I mean ROLE PLAYING game, with much less emphasis on the latter). But it had some obscene flaws. I raged pretty badly when pretty much every single post-game quest gave you yet more useless money, for instance.

Doesn't matter how fun it was, the game was riddled with flaws, bugs, and downfalls, which you have to expect from someone like Molyneux. I don't particularly mind; I don't regret the money spent on it.

But the bottom line is, a game like this is just paradise for a guy like Yahtzee, or any OTHER critic who actually has a pair and DOES HIS JOB.
